The Truth About Sharon Osbourne And Sheryl Underwood's Relationship

Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood have enjoyed a close working relationship since 2011, when Underwood joined "The Talk" as a co-host for Season 2. However, their bond broke in a big way in March 2021, when the two women got into a very heated exchange on-air.

The two friends fell out over Piers Morgan's comments on Meghan Markle, in the wake of her and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey. Morgan said he didn't believe Meghan's claims and Osbourne publicly supported him on social media, leading Underwood question her friend's decision.

Sources say Osbourne "is pissed at [Underwood] because she feels like she helped sow a seed that she's racist, and [Osbourne]'s unable to rationalize that that's not what happened." They added that Osbourne sent Underwood "a very detailed, emotional and heartfelt apology" text, but she did not respond.

Underwood, however, says she remained a "good friend" to Osbourne amid the controversy. On the March 13, 2021 episode of her podcast, "The World According to Sheryl," Underwood said, "I didn't do anything to anybody. And I was a good friend, no matter what came toward me, I was a good friend."
