Bob Saget was known as “America’s Dad” when he played Danny Tanner, and America mourned when Saget died on Jan. 9, 2022. His family revealed that he suddenly passed from head trauma, which was likely brought on by hitting his head.

Bob Saget’s sister, Gay Saget, also tragically died at 47 due to scleroderma, a disease that hardens the skin. Bob directed the 1996 drama “For Hope” in memory of his sister, and he died on what would have been her 75th birthday.

Candace Cameron Bure, AKA DJ Tanner, developed bulimia nervosa shortly after “Full House” ended. She’s said bulimia “never goes away,” but she now has the tools to deal with it in a healthy way, and does her best to help others like herself as an eating disorder recovery advocate.

Mary-Kate Olsen, who played Michelle Tanner alongside her twin Ashley, went to rehab for anorexia in 2004. Mary-Kate said in 2008, “I think the hardest part to get to is that point of asking for help or reaching out to other people and being honest with yourself.”

Jodie Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner, began abusing multiple substances shortly after “Full House” ended, trying to cope with “a sense of loss.” She thankfully got sober in 2008 and has released a memoir about her experiences.
