VALERIE BERTINELLI'S DIVORCE FROM TOM VITALE JUST TOOK A MESSY TURN

Valerie Bertinelli announced her divorce from husband Tom Vitale in May 2022, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. Divorce isn't easy for anyone, but the "Hot in Cleveland" star and her soon-to-be ex have hit a serious road bump in the middle of the process, and it all has to do with their prenup.
Vitale has challenged the validity of his and Bertinelli's prenuptial agreement, and Bertinelli reportedly wants "an early and separate trial on the issue of validity" of the prenup. The pair's divorce can't move forward until this is resolved, and Vitale is asking for $50,000 in alimony and a $200,000 reimbursement on his legal fees.
Bertinelli hasn't made any comments on the matter, and has said that she would rather focus on her "mental and emotional health" than problems in her life. No one knows which direction the divorce will go in, but Bertinelli seems to be taking it in stride and continues to post fun, personal videos on social media, especially TikTok.
