Born and raised in Philadelphia, Victoria Pedretti pursued multiple artistic outlets throughout middle and high school to find the one that interested her the most.
Having received the diagnosis of Attention Deficit Disorder at 6 or 7 years old, Pedretti always struggled with the label and the stereotypes that come with ADD.
She confessed that it was quite “damaging” and elaborated on how such labels can often lead to generalizations about a person and affect people’s perception of them.
Pedretti complained how it was rough and how some of her acting teachers negatively influenced her during her studies by saying things like she wasn’t “cut out for this.”
Right after graduating, Pedretti booked her first role in Netflix's "The Haunting of Hill House" as Eleanor "Nell" Crain, which was her first project with showrunner Mike Flanagan.
"It was really an environment that was conducive to real creativity and I'm forever grateful ... It was a really special way to start off my career," the actor told Collider.
Talking about Nell and Love, the actor confessed how "it was really bizarre" to be able to explore these similar roles "through a completely different mind."
