Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus were married for 30 years before they divorced in 2022. The couple remained quiet about their split, but Tish finally spilled the details.

When Tish appeared on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, she revealed that she and Billy Ray were living in different states during the pandemic.

She said, “[I] just took a really good hard look at life, my life and like, what was I going to do?” This distance made her realize they didn’t fit in each other’s lives anymore.

Cooper asked why they didn’t divorce earlier. Tish said she stayed out of fear because she’d forgotten how to navigate life solo and hadn’t been alone since her early 20s.
