Before Meghan Markle married Prince Harry in 2018, she had several previous relationships that have gained extra attention since her royal wedding.

Markle, once married, divorced film producer Trevor Engelson in 2013. As a source told Woman’s Day “Their split was [...] so ruthlessly done” that Engelson “felt used.”

As per Life & Style, there’s been talk of Engelson releasing a memoir about the “years of hell” with his ex, including “claims of an emotional affair” and “temper tantrums.”

Shortly after her divorce, Markle was linked with English footballer Ashley Cole. However, Ashley’s brother, Matty Cole told The Sun that the football player “never fancied her.”

Matt Cardle, the winner of “The X Factor” in 2010, began talking to Markle on social media in 2015. While talking to ITV in 2019, Cradle discarded it as “absolutely nothing.”

Restaurateur Cory Vitiello was apparently the last person Markle dated before meeting Prince Harry. As per Page Six, Vitiello’s “final months” with Markle “had been unpleasant.”
