Once upon a time, pop superstar Taylor Swift was dating Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, and the two maintained a relatively private relationship. However, once they broke up, the couple's split was blasted all over the headlines, with many theories circulating as to what went wrong — and some believe Harris was "intimidated" by Swift’s success.
An insider claims that Harris "would not attend any events where [Taylor] was being honored, or any award shows unless he was nominated [...] [Taylor] realizes it will take a very secure man to handle her success." Another source said the split was due to Swift and Harris being polar opposites and "more like friends than lovers."
Harris went on to angrily vague-tweet about Swift when her team revealed that she had a hand in writing his hit song "This Is What You Came For": "I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury [...] but I'm not that guy". However, Harris has said he regrets his now-deleted rant, and he and Swift appear to be on friendly terms.
