Amber Heard's legal battle with ex-husband Johnny Depp continues to get messier. Depp is suing Heard for defamation, attributing his ruined career to a 2018 op-ed she wrote where she made allegations of domestic abuse, and now someone from Heard's camp has been tossed from the courtroom.
Heard's friend and former NME journalist Eve Barlow was ejected from the trial on April 14 for "live-tweeting, texting and posting information" during the proceedings. Page Six reported, "Barlow seems to think she's part of Amber's legal team. Depp's lawyers finally had enough and had her barred from the courtroom."
In the official court transcripts, Judge Azcarate said, "I know the deputies took [Barlow] out because she was texting. That's against the court order. Ms. Barlow is not coming back into the courtroom during this trial." Previously, Depp caused a stir on social media when he smirked at the accusation that he is "obsessed" with Heard's ex-boyfriend, Elon Musk.
