WHY HOLLYWOOD WON'T CAST TAYLOR LAUTNER ANYMORE

"Twilight" stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson snagged roles in other films both during and after the franchise's heyday. However, Taylor Lautner only landed one non-"Twilight" role during his time as Jacob Black, meaning that once the hype died, he had little Hollywood cred to keep his career going.
“Abduction”
In 2011, Lautner starred in the film "Abduction," which was set to be his star vehicle in a post-"Twilight" world. However, the action flick was panned by critics, scoring an abysmal 4 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and brought in only $28 million domestically, so it didn't break even with its $35 million budget.
lackluster acting
Reviews for "Abduction" did not speak highly of Lautner’s acting ability; The Village Voice's Benjamin Mercer wrote that Lautner "looks like a stranger in his own performance." The film may not have affected the actor's reputation so negatively, if only his performance weren't part of the problem.
He’s Too Expensive
Studios don't think Lautner is worth the kind of pay he asks for, especially after "Abduction" bombed. A source says Lautner wanted $7.5 million to star in "Stretch Armstrong" and $10 million to star in a rendition of "David and Goliath," but no studio was willing to pay him, so both projects were shelved indefinitely.
Second Failed Attempt
"Tracers" was Lautner’s second attempt at a successful leading role, but this film didn't even get a theatrical release in the U.S., and only pulled in $2.8 million internationally. Steve Tilley of the Toronto Sun offered a scathing review, writing, "if he's not careful, Taylor Lautner isn't going to get a career".
