WILLIAM AND KATE MAY BE GEARING UP FOR AN UNEXPECTED MOVE
By JOANNA MAZEWSKI
A lot of royals have been relocating lately, from Harry and Meghan moving to America, to the Queen switching from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle, to Prince William and Kate Middleton spending most of COVID-19 lockdown in Norfolk rather than in London. Now, Will and Kate just might make a more official move.
According to an April 4, 2022 report by the Daily Mail, sources close to Will and Kate hint that the Cambridges have been looking at schools near Windsor, and they're considering moving to the area by the summer. Some of their reasons have to do with the Queen, and others are slightly more personal.
Apparently, the disgraced Prince Andrew has been making late-night visits to see his mother Queen Elizabeth, and William and Kate aren't very pleased. By moving to Windsor, the Cambridges will get to spend more time with the queen, especially if they choose to live in Adelaide Cottage, which is near Windsor Castle.
Royal insider Katie Nicholl also told OK! in 2021 that William and Kate have never really felt like true Londoners, and "have never enjoyed the chaos of the city" or its lack of privacy. In other words, being closer to the queen and living the country lifestyle makes the move to Windsor ideal for the Cambridges.
