Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Release Official Engagement Photos

The royal couple just shared two of the sweetest engagement portraits we've ever seen.

On Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released their official engagement photos to the public—and they're pretty darn adorable. One photo features the pair posed on a set of outdoor steps, hand in hand. The other shows the couple holding one another closely, with Markle's hand cupping her beau's face. And, of course, Markle's gorgeous engagement ring is on full display in both stunning photographs.

According to Kensington Palace, the photos were taken earlier in the week by famed photographer Alexi Lubomirski. The location? Frogmore House, Windsor.

"The couple are so grateful for the warm and generous messages they have received during such a happy time in their lives," a tweet from Kensington Palace read, before sharing a candid photo of the pair as a bonus gift from Harry and Markle.

On Instagram, Lubo shared his own message regarding his experience photographing Harry and his future bride. "A huge thank you to His Royal Highness Prince Harry and Ms Markle, for allowing me to take their official engagement portraits," Lubo wrote, sharing the photos of the couple. "Not only was it an incredible honour, but also an immense privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple's love for each other. I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Harry and Markle announced their engagement on Nov. 27, 2017, after the prince proposed earlier that month. It was later revealed that the pair would marry at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.

While we wait for more details about the pair's upcoming wedding, learn all about how the royal family really feels about Markle.
