Inside Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's Latest Arrest

The following article contains mentions of domestic violence.

"Jersey Shore" star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is now facing even more legal trouble, per TMZ. He was arrested on April 22 for another incident of domestic violence.

Ronnie has already had an extensive rap sheet prior to this arrest. Fans watched the MTV star face assault charges in 2009 after cameras captured a street fight he got into outside of a bar in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, Radar Online reports. At the time, the Bronx native claimed it was his first arrest. But a little digging found that Ronnie was arrested in 2005 and faced misdemeanor drugs and drunk driving charges, per the site.

By 2019, the reality star was back in media headlines following a domestic violence incident with his on-and-off girlfriend Jen Harley, via Fox 11 Los Angeles. The outlet claimed that multiple neighbors called 911 after Jen, who sustained "minor injuries," was "running in the street and screaming for help." Cops were forced to bring Ronnie down with a Taser after he became "combative" and locked himself inside the house with the couple's daughter Ariana Sky. He reportedly had a knife on him.

Ronnie briefly touched on the violent arrest on the show and expressed hope to never put himself in that type of situation again. "I mean, one day at a time,'" Ronnie told his friends, via Daily Mail. "A bunch of unfortunate events that were completely out of my control, and all I can do is stay away from the situation that got me to where that is." But that wasn't his last run-in with the law over domestic abuse.

Inside Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's latest domestic violence arrest

In April 2021, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was back in the slammer and facing more serious trouble after he was arrested for domestic violence while being on probation for his previous domestic violence arrest, via TMZ. Though the identity of the victim is unclear, it wasn't Ronnie's ex, Jen Harley, who was actually in Las Vegas at the time the attack took place in Los Angeles. After the arrest, Jen left Vegas and returned to L.A. to retrieve their daughter, Ariana Sky, from Ronnie's brother. The site later reported that Ronnie was released after posting $100,000 bail.

At the time, Ronnie's lawyer Scott Leemon didn't have much to say for the reality star. "We have just learned of the new allegations against Ronnie and need some additional time to further investigate," a statement read. Ronnie was still serving out his 36-month probation sentence he received as part of plea deal from his 2019 domestic violence charge against Jen.

On the season following his initial domestic violence charge, Ronnie opened up to his "Jersey Shore" cast mates about the growth he wanted for himself as a result of the ordeal. "All I can do is move forward and hope that never happens again, and just grow as a person, and grow as a man, and grow as a father," he said, via Daily Mail. 'That's all I can really do."
