This Is Why You Won't See Eve On The Talk Anymore

After four seasons, the rapper turned talk show host, Eve, is leaving The Talk. The Philadelphia native shared the news during the Nov. 2, 2020 episode of the daytime series, leaving many viewers to wonder what happened.

Fans can rest assured that the decision has nothing to do with having bad blood toward her co-workers. Instead, the talk show co-host cited simple logistics for her abrupt exit. Eve lamented that due to being based in London, England with her husband, Maximillion Cooper, and currently not being able to travel, she was left with no other choice. She was quick, however, to profess her love to her co-hosts Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, and Carrie Ann Inaba and describing their relationship as "true love."

Eve's departure comes off the heels of Marie Osmond leaving the show in September 2020. Unlike Osmond's short stint, Eve embarked on her journey in 2017 when she stepped in as Aisha Tyler's replacement. It's safe to say she made a lot of memories during those four years!

So how does Eve plan to spend her free time? Keep reading after the jump to find out!

Will Eve expand her family?

It appears Eve will have plenty to keep her occupied, even after leaving her talk show gig. For starters, the rapper noted how she would like to focus on "expanding her family," which could mean conceiving a child or adoption. Eve talked about potentially having kids before, revealing her struggles with infertility. "It's a very sad hurtful thing, but the more I hung onto it the worse I actually felt about myself," she said during a May 2019 episode of The Talk, according to USA TODAY.

Eve has also been busy having conversations with her family about racial injustice. During an episode of TV One's Uncensored, Eve opened up about her own experience of being in an interracial marriage to British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper (pictured left) and explained that, due to the events of 2020, she had "beautiful" discussions with her husband and her stepkids about race. "Their whole reality is different," Eve explained.

Another post-The Talk possibility is Eve's return to acting. The star has an impressive resume of credits (EmpireJane the VirginSingle Ladies, etc.), and during a 2019 interview with WDAS Philadelphia, she said about her next gig, "I want to do some stuff that's a challenge to me." Simply put, the world is Eve's oyster!

Eve is a busy and devoted stepmom

If Eve and her husband, Maximillion Cooper, don't add another child to the mix, the rapper will still have her hands full with her four stepchildren. Cooper shares Jagger, Lotus, Mini, and Cash with his former wife, Julie Brangstrup.

Eve confessed during an interview with Us Weekly in 2013 that it hasn't always been rainbows and sunshine regarding how to step-parent. "It took a minute," she admitted. "I was like, 'I'm not sure this is what I want to be my life.' But honestly, it's been three years now and we've gone on vacations together, and they're the sweetest kids."

Now it appears that Eve couldn't imagine life without her bonus children. "I was very nervous, but they all just embraced me and we kind of just went along with it," the rapper explained to the outlet. "One thing that made me fall in love with my husband is that he's such a good dad. I think I just kind of follow his lead. That was something I've admired about him and it just helps." Here's to Eve making more memories with her stepkids during her downtime!

Eve will continue to thrive no matter what

Just because Eve remains focused on her family, it doesn't mean she'll throw her hard-earned career out of the window. The rapper fought for everything she has, after all, and she's not shy about trumpeting her accomplishments. "I was not going to allow anyone to take anything away from me," she told CNBC in 2019 about making it in a male-dominated business. "I believed so strongly inside of myself that you cannot take this away from me, and I don't care what you say. So I think a lot of determination and stubbornness [helped] as well."

The star also battled anxiety, an issue she discussed during a 2018 episode of The Talk. "When I first started in the business I had horrible anxiety attacks, so much so that I was on medication," she shared, per BET. "Only people that know me closely know this and it took a lot of years for me to get over it." Clearly, Eve has overcome a lot to get where she is today.

Eve's impressive work ethic is evident in her fortune, which Celebrity Net Worth estimates is $10 million. So even without her paycheck from The Talk, it's safe to the star will do just fine.
