Famed Sportscaster Dick Enberg Dead At 82

The well-known TV sports broadcaster has passed away.

TMZ reports that sports broadcasting icon Dick Enberg died on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017. According to San Diego Union-Tribune reporter Bryce Miller, Enberg's wife revealed that he'd passed in his home in California's La Jolla area after he had what she believes was a heart attack. Enberg was reportedly preparing to leave to catch a flight at the time.

Enberg was 82 years old.

Having worked for both NBC and CBS, Enberg gained recognition for becoming the play-by-play voice for NFL and MLB games. Throughout his career, he'd call a total of eight Super Bowl games and 28 Wimbledon tournaments.
