Orange Is The New Black's Ruby Rose Undergoes Back Surgery

The actress might be in a wheelchair for a while.

On Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, Orange Is the New Black star Ruby Rose took to Twitter to share that she recently had back surgery. Posting a photo of herself wearing plaid pj bottoms and a "Strong Female Lead" shirt while being moved in a wheelchair, Rose explained, "So..For the past few years (decade) I've been dealing with a spine issue. I am now recovering from a back procedure, but I do need to stay active, so before I get seen with my cane and wheel chair in public, I'd rather put it out there that I'm fine and going to be fine."

In a separate tweet, she added, "What I need to know now is when I'm not wheeling around LA like a 102 year old, what movies, shows, books and video games do you suggest... I'm buying a switch.. I'm looking at you @chrissyteigen what games should I get?"

Rose noted that she's been "blinging my cane and walker up" in an attempt to make her walking aids "more snazzy." Apparently, she just couldn't stand the "tan and nude colors."

Besides helping her back, the surgery also apparently gave Rose the push she needed to quit smoking. "On the plus side guess who had to quit smoking!!!!! YAY!!!! Im done," the actress wrote. "I'm finally done.. that filthy, smelly, dirty, slowly killing you while you pay for it to suffocate you, is finally out of my life. I quit yesterday. And for my back ( and Mum ) I'll never start again."

Glad to hear that Rose is doing okay after her surgery!
