People reports that Saturday Night Live's Leslie Jones has joined NBC as a contributor for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Jones will reportedly cover live events at the games, speaking with athletes and, in all likeliness, showing some major patriotic spirit.
"Experiencing the Olympics through the lens of Leslie is unlike anything else," NBC's president of Olympics production and programming Jim Bell said in a statement obtained by the magazine. "Her passion for Team USA is contagious, and her adventures in South Korea should be fascinating."
Jones teased the big news on Twitter on Jan. 29, 2018, posting a video of herself working out in a red, white, and blue ensemble. "Guess What Time It Is Y'all!!!!! And Guess Where I'm Going!!!!!" she wrote in the tweet. "Slay All Day USA!!!!!!! @olympics."
