Hugh Grant Welcomes Fifth Child With Girlfriend Anna Eberstein
The Love Actually star is a father ... again!
On Tuesday, March 6, 2018, actress Elizabeth Hurley revealed that her old pal Hugh Grant is a proud dad of five young kiddos. That's right — five! Speaking with E!'s Daily Pop, Hurley, who was promoting her show The Royals, opened up about her friendship with Grant and revealed that the actor had welcomed his fifth child.
"I'm very lucky that 31 years into our friendship, he's still my best friend in the world. He's a really great guy," Hurley said (via E! News). "I see him a lot; I speak to him a lot. You know, he's now a father of five; he has five kids and he's a great dad. Yeah, he will remain my best friend for life."
But Hurley didn't stop there. She also dropped some major details about Grant's newborn when she visited Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Thursday, March 8, 2018. During her interview, she shared that Grant's fifth child, whom he shares with girlfriend Anna Eberstein, was born just one week earlier. "He had another one last week. He has five," Hurley said of Grant. "He was over 50 when he spawned them all! He's an enchanting dad — really, really sweet."
She joked, "Having these kids has transformed him from a very miserable person into a [fairly miserable person]. It's improved him. He's gone up the scale."
No word yet on the baby's sex or name.
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Grant and Eberstein revealed that they were expecting a child together at the 2018 Golden Globes, as Eberstein showed off her growing baby bump. However, it wasn't officially confirmed until Eberstein's mom did the honors, telling Swedish paper Aftonbladet, "Yes, I'm very happy to be getting another grandchild."
Grant and Eberstein are also parents to a young son and daughter. While they have three children together, Grant also has two other kids — a boy and a girl — from his previous relationship to Tinglan Hong.
