Inside The Challenge Star Abram Boise's Split With His Wife

Abram Boise starred in MTV's "Road Rules: South Pacific" in 2003 and competed in nine seasons of "The Challenge," according to Showbiz CheatSheet. During "The Challenge: Cutthroat" in 2009, Boise met long-time competitor Cara Maria Sorbello. The two formed an interest in each other and started dating soon after, per Us Weekly. In 2011, Boise and Sorbello broke up after the "Road Rules" alum got arrested for public urination, according to Showbiz CheatSheet.

Boise and Sorbello eventually got back together but broke up again after "Battle of the Bloodlines" in 2015. As reported by International Business Times, Sorbello was caught getting a bit too close with fellow competitor Thomas Buell. Boise moved on from his messy relationship with the Massachusetts native and went off "The Challenge" grid after "Battle of the Bloodlines." However, news resurfaced about him when he announced his engagement to Rachel Missie on Instagram in 2019. However, just two years later, the couple ended their marriage shortly after welcoming their first child.

So, what really happened between Boise and Missie?

Rachel Missie announced her split from Abram Boise

In October 2020, Rachel Missie and Abram Boise announced that they were expecting their first child together, per People. Missie told her followers she was initially carrying twins but one fetus disappeared. "We experienced what's called 'vanishing twin,'" she explained. On April 22, 2021, Boise and Missie welcomed their son, and the "Road Rules" alum announced the happy occasion on Instagram. Boise wrote, "Welcome to Earth on earth day, my little man cub: Atlas Young Boise ... What a wonderful world you have given me @rachelmissie," along with a sweet snap of the baby and one of the couple's dogs.

The following September, Missie took to Instagram to announce that the two had broken up following the birth of their son. "Life is full of many chapters and it's important to recognize when it's time to end and begin again. While our romantic relationship had come to an end, we're forever connected and focused on being the best for our son. Thank you all that have supported us through this journey. Xoxo," she told fans, per Heavy. Her positive message seemed as if things were well between her and Boise, but details about their marriage would come out later that shed light on a darker truth.

Abram Boise was accused of abuse

Early in January 2022, Rachel Missie alleged that her relationship with Abram Boise was abusive, per The Hollywood Gossip. A fan asked Missie for advice on how to deal with an unfulfilling relationship, to which she replied, "There comes a time when it's more hurtful to keep protecting someone then [sic] letting it out." Missie went on to say that she had married a "salesman" who purported to be different than he actually was once she got to know him better.

Things took a dark turn when she wrote, "I was in an emotionally abusive relationship and at times got physical. On different occasions had to call the cops." Missie claimed that Boise's behavior continued because his close ones enabled him and didn't hold him accountable for his actions. "He does not respect me. He does not respect women. If [you're] not fulfilled in any relationship, leave and choose yourself," Missie told her follower.

Missie also alleged that Boise is not as present for their son as agreed upon. "I am a full-time mom," she wrote. "I agreed to 50/50 custody." She went on to say that she requested no financial help from Boise, and allowed "The Challenge" star to keep his Montana property. "I asked for nothing ... However his father has taken advantage of the situation and is not upholding our agreement." Boise has yet to comment on the allegations and seems to be focused on his new career as an artist.
