Siesta Key: Inside Sam Logan And Jordana Barnes' Relationship
When Sam Logan first joined the cast of "Siesta Key," he came on as the rich boyfriend of leading lady Juliette Porter. At first, he lavished Porter with expensive gifts, including a portrait of his then-girlfriend that he commissioned his artist friend, Jordana Barnes, to paint for $10,000. As noted by ScreenRant, Porter was stunned at the portrait's unveiling after seeing it resembled Barnes' face more so than it did her own. Porter was never comfortable with Barnes' close friendship with her beau, and it's not hard to see why. In a season 4 scene, Barnes admitted that she hooked up with Logan in the past and said she would still love to "make out" with him.
In August 2021, Logan confirmed that he and Porter ended their nearly two-year relationship. "She didn't feel like I supported her, but I feel like I prioritized her and put her above myself," Logan told OK magazine. "They can say I'm a bad boyfriend, but I was loyal to Juliette."
Following his split from Porter, Logan wasted no time finding a new female companion. In addition to his hangouts with Barnes, he began spending time with Miami native Meghan Bischoff. But Barnes warned her pal not to rebound. "I'm glad that Meghan's there for you," she told Logan (via MTV). "You're not going to date her, though. She's good for right now, but you always have me if you feel like you need to talk or hang out with somebody."

When the fifth season of "Siesta Key" premiered in 2022, it was revealed that Sam Logan was living with Jordana Barnes in Miami. Not only that, but he treated her like a girlfriend and spoiled her with gifts. Logan paid big bucks for Barnes to get a Brazilian Butt Lift –- while he was dating Meghan Bischoff. All along, Juliette Porter had her suspicions that more was going on between the two than met the eye. "Jordana has been waiting for Sam and I to break up our whole relationship... worth the wait sis," she tweeted in March 2022.
While Barnes and Logan maintained they were just close pals, Bischoff wasn't having their flirty friendship. She gave Logan an ultimatum that Barnes had to move out of his house, or she was done with him. After Barnes organized a birthday party for Logan, Bischoff caught her kissing him passionately and ended their relationship on the spot.
In July 2022, another video of Barnes kissing Logan hit Instagram. In a screenshot of a comment captured by the fan account @mtv_TV_reality_teaa, Bischoff wrote that she wished the two of them nothing but the best — though she did offer to share therapist recommendations with Barnes.
Sam Logan says he is just 'platonic' friends with Jordana Barnes
All along, Sam Logan and Jordana Barnes have never wavered from the story that they are just friends. In July 2022, Monsters and Critics shared another screenshot from @mtv_reality_teaa in which Logan answered a fan question about his relationship with Barnes. When the fan asked whether or not the two were dating, although unable to admit it as they were filming "Siesta Key," Logan replied, "no lol she had a guy here last week that stayed for 5 days. We have a platonic friendship but are just close."
Barnes, who lost her brother, Brenden, at age 15, following a hit-and-run accident (per Reality Tidbit), once revealed that her friendship with Logan helped to fill a void in her life. While chatting with Logan on his YouTube page in 2022, she said. "I needed like this platonic friendship from a guy because after I lost my brother I like really lost that, and just like having you makes me feel like I kind of have somewhat of that friendship again."
While she took issue with Juliette Porter and Meghan Bischoff, Barnes appears to approve of the latest lady to have popped up in Instagram photos and videos with Logan. In October 2022, Logan posed with entrepreneur Nicky Ecker at what appeared to be a Halloween party. Barnes slid into the photo's comments section to write, "Cuties."
