Teen Mom's Ryan Edwards Arrested

Ryan Edwards is facing legal trouble.

On Tuesday, March 27, 2018, the Teen Mom star was arrested around 3 p.m. at his Tennessee home, E! News reports.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, the 30-year-old was busted when cops sent out a warrant for his arrest after he allegedly violated his probation from a previous heroin possession charge. "It was related to his charge last year before he went to rehab," a source told the publication. "This is not anything new. It's not a new arrest for heroin. That was his original charge last April."

As a spokesperson for the Hamilton County Jail told Radar Online, "He was held on $5,000 bond. He was bonded out at 10:15 p.m."

The arrest came just one day after it was announced that Edwards and his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, are expecting their first child together. Edwards already shares son Bentley, 9, with fellow Teen Mom star and ex-fiancée Maci Bookout, while Standifer, 21, is already mom to 4-year-old Hudson, whom she shares with ex-husband Zachary Stephens.

The couple secretly married in May 2017, just before Edwards went to rehab for drug abuse. He entered the program after he was filmed on the MTV series falling asleep at the wheel while on the way to his wedding.

"I made the decision to check myself into a rehabilitation facility," he released in a statement after completing his 30-day stint (via Us Weekly). "I am back home now doing well, and life could not be better. Without the support of my wife and parents, I would not have been able to do this. Thank you all for your well wishes."

After news of his recent arrest broke, Standifer came to her husband's defense, telling Radar Online that he's still sober. "Possession of heroin was the original charge from April before he went to rehab. Part of his case was he had to be booked. Everything is fine," she insisted, adding, "He took a drug test yesterday and passed."
