Candice Swanepoel Has More Than One Connection To The Kardashians

Candice Swanepoel has been a Victoria's Secret model for years. Originally from South Africa, the blonde beauty has been walking the runway since 2010. Per IMDb, she has been in many Victoria's Secret Fashion shows and officially gained her wings in 2010.

While modeling appears to come naturally, the beauty actually struggled to make the switch to a high-profile career. "I really didn't even know how to move," she revealed to Fashionista in November 2010. She later admitted that being part of Victoria's Secret didn't necessarily feel like a reality because she "didn't believe in herself." Swanepoel's talents undoubtedly have paid off as the beauty has landed endorsements and collaborations with top-grade brands such as Ralph Lauren, Juicy Couture, Guess, Diesel, Swarovski, Nike, and True Religion. Per Celebrity Net Worth the model is worth $25 million and happens to be one of the highest-paying models. Her modeling goes further than the famed lingerie brand, she's also walked in fashion shows Versace, Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan, Chanel, Fendi, Diane von Furstenberg, Christian Dior, and more, per The Famous People.

The businesswoman has had much success and continues to have opportunities present themselves. She's used to being the center of attention, however, her latest brand but she's making headlines recently for an entirely different reason -– her connections to the Kardashians.

Candice Swanepoel inspired Kylie in 2015

Candice Swanepoel is a trendsetter so naturally, she inspired another top influencer, Kylie Jenner. Jenner dug into the VS archives to secure the same look that was previously worn by Swanepoel herself in the 2015 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

"thanks @victoriassecret for letting me borrow @angelcandices outfit for the night [angel and starlight emoji] i felt like an angel," Jenner captioned a photo of herself in the look on Instagram. The infamous get-up consisted of huge Angel wings and a sheer catsuit covered with crystals and needless to say both ladies rocked the look. The mother-of-two officially received Swanepoel's stamp of approval as she commented, "Yesssss mama," to which Jenner replied with a heart emoji, per People.

The rest of the Kar-Jenner clan followed suit — literally! Khloe, Kendall, Kim, and Kourtney joined in on the fun and borrowed lingerie from the beloved brand, per E! News. "Kimberly thank you so much for thinking of the VS angels costume and for getting @VictoriasSecret to loan us everything!" Khloe tweeted. "I was uncomfortable thinking of doing this bc I just had a baby but thank you to ALL of my sisters for being the best support & now we have the best memories!" Of course, fans of the reality star replied with nothing of positivity from the glamorous pic of the elaborate outfits for Halloween.

She recently collaborated with another Kardashian

Who knew Candice Swanepoel had such a connection to the Kardashian family? The supermodel recently collaborated with Kim Kardashian for the Skims Icons campaign. The campaign included four VS angels, who have all earned their wings at different points in their careers. Swanepoel, Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, and Alessandria Ambrosio took part in the "Fit Everybody" campaign. "Every woman is an icon. I see icons reflected in the women around me: my daughters, mom, and sisters," Kim shared with People in April. "The women I work with each day are iconic, and so are the women I worked with for this campaign."

The venture comes as no surprise as both Swanepoel and Kim have many other attributes in common. Both run successful business ventures. With Kim and the evolution of Skims, Swanepoel has launched a successful lifestyle apparel brand of her own, Tropic of C. Per the brand's website, Tropic of C features trendy neutral-hued bikinis. Being a successful multi-level businesswoman is very on-brand for the supermodel.

"Some of the smartest business woman I know are models," the mother of two shared with HuffPost Live in December 2013. "There are so many beautiful girls around that you need more than that. It's really about being smart now and turning it into a business." It's no wonder that she and the Kardashians have so much in common.
