Pippa Middleton Reportedly Expecting Her First Child

Pippa Middleton is reportedly pregnant!

According to an exclusive report by The Sun, published on Saturday, April 21, 2018, the English socialite and her husband, James Matthews, are expecting their first child together.

As an insider, who is said to be a friend of Middleton's, told the U.K. gossip rag, the parents-to-be are "overjoyed" by the baby news and told their "close family and friends last week after her 12-week scan."

"When Pippa found out she was pregnant, she was obviously thrilled and utterly overjoyed," the source added. "Naturally, big sister Kate and parents, Carole and Michael, were the first people she told — James aside — and they could not have been more delighted."

Kate was actually only the second person to find out about the pregnancy — just after Pippa's financier husband, of course. The news comes just days before the Duchess of Cambridge herself is expected to give birth to her third child with Prince William. The royal pair are already parents to Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2.

"Pippa and James have always known they wanted children," the insider continued. "They have made the most of their first few months of marriage and felt the time was right to expand their family."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Middleton, 34, and Matthews, 42, tied the knot in May 2017 at St. Mark's Church in Englefield, England, after announcing their engagement in July 2016. The married pair's baby is reportedly due in October. However, at the time of this writing, the family has yet to comment on this report.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
