Meet Luke Bryan's 5 Children (Including His Adopted Nieces And Nephew)

Luke Bryan is one of the most popular musical artists in the world, and he definitely has a major hold over country music in America. The musician has a number of studio albums and a popular gig as a judge on "American Idol." Bryan had humble beginnings, though, which all led to Bryan becoming a country music superstar. He grew up on a peanut farm in Georgia and then started writing songs for country artists like Billy Currington, Travis Tritt, and others. And even though he loves songwriter, he was destined for a solo career.

But he got his big break when he landed a big record deal by catching the eye of Larry Willoughby of Capitol Records. He really impressed his label when his packed crowd of mostly college-aged kids knew all the words to his songs, which weren't even out and on the radio yet. Since then he's sold out arenas, is one of the world's best-selling musicians, and won "Entertainer of the Year" on a number of occasions. But throughout all of his success and popularity, Bryan has unfortunately had more than his fair share of tragedies in his life. In fact, he's probably experienced more than most; he lost both his brother and sister a decade apart from one another along. From that devastating loss, however, came somewhat of a silvery lining in Bryan's nephew and nieces. Read on to read about Bryan's five kids.

Luke Bryan and his wife have five kids

Luke Bryan is as much a family man as he is a world-class musician. He married his college sweetheart, Caroline Boyer (now Bryan), in 2006. They had two biological children and then their family grew by three kids when they lost both parents. Bryan's sister Kelly (their mother) died in 2007. Their father, Ben, died in 2017. The Bryans took them in right before their 11th wedding anniversary.

Bryan's family now consists of Thomas, Tatum, Jordan, Kris, and Til. Thomas "Bo" is the oldest of Bryan's biological sons. He was born March 2008, and was named after Bryan's father according to Country Thang Daily. Next is Tatum "Tate," who was born in August 2010. He and Thomas spend a lot of time outdoors and having fun with their famous dad.

The oldest of Bryan's nieces is Jordan Cheshire, now Eudy; she married her longtime boyfriend Clint Eudy in September 2021. Jordan was born in April 1995 and graduated from the University of Georgia (she would have just started college when her father died). In May 2022, she and Clint welcomed their son, Jonathan Chesh Eudy. Next is Kris Cheshire, the middle child of Bryan's adopted children. She was born in August 1998 and attended the University of Alabama. She and Jordan now have a clothing line together called Shop Chesh. Lastly, there's Tilden "Til" Cheshire, born November 2001. He is the oldest of Bryan's sons and celebrated his 21st birthday in style.

Luke Bryan and his wife 'never thought twice' about adoption

Taking in three teenagers can be tough, especially in a time of tragedy. However, it was a no-brainer for Luke Bryan and his wife. "We never thought twice about it," Caroline Bryan told Robin Roberts on ABC's special "Living Every Day: Luke Bryan" in 2017. "You know, it was never something that he and I had to sit down and talk about, you know, should we take this on? We just did it."

It's very apparent that Luke Bryan and Caroline's love goes deep. As Luke Bryan told Roberts, Caroline was the person who helps him put "the family dynamic first," meaning that his big-time stardom doesn't faze her. "I think sometimes you get wrapped up in, your career and all that," Bryan said. "She doesn't buy into what old Lukey boy is selling her a lot."

And while back-to-back tragedies can knock anyone on their butt and make them question everything, Bryan said that they always get back up. "I've watched my family go through ebbs and flows where we get mad at God and we get mad at why this has happened," he shared. "Well, you keep going and you try to, try to be as positive as you can, and you try to appreciate every day." Bryan has also been an open book about his relationship with God — as evidenced by the anthemic "Prayin' in a Deer Stand," where he proclaims "I read somewhere in the Good Book, says He's everywhere."
