Queen Elizabeth Allegedly Livid With Meghan Markle's Father

Queen Elizabeth II is not happy.

According to a Daily Express report, published on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, the queen is allegedly "very angry" with Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle, for selling staged photos of himself preparing for the royal wedding to the paparazzi just ahead of his daughter's big day.

"Lord Chamberlain, Her Majesty and the Duke are very angry with Meghan's father," a source told the gossip rag, explaining that Kensington Palace and the communications office had met earlier in the day to figure out a game plan on how to handle the situation. "They will speak to him once he arrives about the royal protocol."

The insider added that the royal family is "worried" about Thomas "because of those photos."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Thomas, who suffered a heart attack a week ago, recently revealed that he'd decided not to attend his daughter's wedding to Prince Harry this weekend. While he was due to walk Meghan down the aisle, he told TMZ that he wanted to avoid embarrassing her and the British royals any further.

However, he later backtracked on this, telling the tabloid, "Of course I'd walk her down the aisle. This is a historic moment. I'd like to be a part of history." Unfortunately, it is unclear whether Thomas will be able to travel to the UK, as he said he's currently back in the hospital and undergoing testing after experiencing chest pains.

Meghan's half-sister, Samantha, has since taken responsibility for the photos, tweeting from a private account, "The media was unfairly making him look bad so I suggested he do positive photos for his benefit and the benefit of the royal family."

"This is not what [Meghan] wants. She obviously wants her dad there," a source close to the former Suits actress told the Daily Mail. "She and Prince Harry are begging for people to give him some space. They have been saying this for weeks, while trying to offer him support and help. He is clearly feeling under immense pressure. The concern for him is real and genuine."

Prince Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, will marry at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle on Saturday, May 19, 2018. The couple, who have been together since the fall of 2016, announced their engagement last November.
