Why Meghan Markle's Royal Wedding Hairdo Left The Internet Freaking Out

Meghan Markle's hair was all anyone could talk about this weekend.

On Saturday, May 19, 2018, the Duchess of Sussex tied the knot with Prince Harry in their highly anticipated royal wedding. But it wasn't Markle's beautiful Givenchy gown, which she paired with Queen Mary's diamond bandeau tiara, or the royal couple's gorgeous ceremony itself that had the internet abuzz — it was her hairdo.

According to AOL, hairstylist Serge Normant had the honor of doing the former Suits actress' hair on her big day, and opted to leave it in a simple yet beautiful low bun. However, Markle's usual face-framing layers began to stray as the ceremony proceeded, poking out from behind her ears and covering her forehead. Let's just say Twitter freaked out.

"Meghan Markle's hair is coming undone and I want to jump into the tv screen and fix it. I can't focus on anything else," one person wrote, while another tweeted, "Meghan Markle looks stunning in @givenchy but that one piece of unruly hair that's separated from the rest is going to haunt me for life."

Meanwhile, one Twitter user shared some advice with the newest British royal, writing, "Meghan Markle we understand you are revolutionizing the messy bun here but your wedding day is not the time to allow a loose piece of hair #bobbypins."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Prince Harry, 33, and Markle, 36, married this weekend at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. "You look amazing. Absolutely gorgeous," the prince told his bride after she walked down the aisle and met him at the alter. "I'm so lucky."

The newlyweds, who have been together since the fall of 2016, announced their engagement last November.
