Amy Schumer Addresses Pregnancy Rumors
Amy Schumer is clarifying some things for her fans.
On Thursday, July 12, 2018, the comedian took to Instagram to address a recent round of pregnancy rumors, which she'd accidentally sparked earlier in the day. The baby bump speculation began after Schumer captioned a series of photos, in which her hands appeared to be cradling her stomach, with, "@leesaevansstyle and I are cookin' somethin' up."
"I am not pregnant," Schumer said with a laugh in a follow-up video, while sipping on a cocktail and writing, "I always have a bump alert!" in the caption. The I Feel Pretty star went on to explain, "[Designer] Leesa Evans and I have created a clothing line for all sizes and shapes at a chill price point. That's what I was trying to allude to, but thank you for thinking of my womb."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Schumer, 37, and husband Chris Fischer, 38, tied the knot in a secret ceremony in February 2018, just two days after the stand-up comedian confirmed their relationship on social media. The happy news of their whirlwind romance came just six months after it was announced that Schumer had called it quits with ex-boyfriend Ben Hanisch.
The cute pair's surprise wedding, which took place outside of a rented house in Malibu, Calif., was attended by several A-list celebs, including the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Larry David, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Schumer's bestie Jennifer Lawrence.
While the Inside Amy Schumer star was quick to dispel reports that the happy couple were expecting their first child together, that doesn't necessarily mean they don't plan on expanding their family at some point in the future. Just last month, Schumer told Catt Sadler of The Cattwalk that they "may want babies" one day.
In the meantime, a number of other famous couples have recently announced exciting baby news themselves. Earlier this month, Deena Cortese of Jersey Shore revealed that she and husband Chris Buckner are expecting their first child together, a baby boy, in December 2018, while Jason Aldean's wife, Brittany Kerr, is pregnant with baby no. 2.
