Ariana Reportedly Ready To Call Off Wedding To Pete Davidson
Is Ariana Grande experiencing second thoughts on her whirlwind romance?
According to a Radar Online exclusive, published on Friday, July 20, 2018, the "No Tears Left To Cry" singer is reportedly considering calling off her engagement to Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson.
"Ariana didn't know who Pete really was, and fell in love with the idea of being in love," a source told the gossip rag, adding that she's "having some serious cold feet."
The insider went on to allege that while Grande "wants the fairytale so bad," it may not be enough to keep these two together, as those closest to the pop star "are already starting to see this relationship fall apart." As the source claimed, "Pete has already started to take a toll on her image, and she's tired of constantly having to stick up for him."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Grande, 25, and Davidson, 24, became engaged in June 2018 after only a few weeks of dating. The two, who have reportedly known each other since Grande hosted SNL in 2016, both called it quits on long-term relationships just before getting together. In mid-May, the "Light Is Coming" singer split from boyfriend Mac Miller after nearly two years of dating, while Davidson confirmed his breakup from longtime girlfriend Cazzie David around the same time.
Over the last month, their fast-paced relationship has dominated headlines, but it hasn't been without its fair share of controversy. In early July, Grande was forced to address a resurfaced joke her new fiancé made last fall about the Manchester bombing, which claimed the lives of 22 people and injured more than 500 at one of her concerts in May 2017.
The "Side To Side" singer also recently spoke out against the criticism she and fellow pop star Justin Bieber have received following the news of their quick engagements. "You do realize we are human beings who love and have lives ...... right .... ?" Grande wrote in a since-deleted tweet while responding to a fan's comments on the matter. She added, "Love is lit. S**t happens. I hope to God it happens to you too. [You] deserve it."
