Offset Arrested For Alleged Gun Possession

Migos rapper Offset was reportedly taken into police custody.

According to TMZ, Offset (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus) was pulled over near Atlanta, Ga. on Friday, July 20, 2018. While cops had stopped Offset because of his SUV's tinted windows, they reportedly arrested him after discovering at least one gun in the vehicle. Given that Offset is a convicted felon — and reportedly one who is currently on probation — a gun possession charge could spell big trouble for him.

While details about Offset's arrest are scarce at the time of this writing, it is known that Offset's wife, Cardi B, and their newborn baby girl, Kulture, were not in his SUV when he was pulled over by police and arrested.

Offset's arrest comes on the heels of news that he and Cardi B are facing a lawsuit from The Mark Hotel, where Offset had allegedly ordered his entourage to beat up a man who'd persistently asked Cardi B for an autograph. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the hotel wants Offset and Cardi B to be held responsible should the hotel be hit with a judgement as a result of the alleged victim's lawsuit against the rappers.
