Sean 'Diddy' Combs' Ex Kim Porter Dead At 47

Kim Porter, rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs' ex-girlfriend and the mother of his children, has died.

TMZ reports that Porter was found dead on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018. According to the celebrity news site, authorities responded to an emergency call that sent them to Porter's Toluca Lake home in Los Angeles, Calif. She was reportedly thought to be experiencing cardiac arrest. Porter was just 47 years old.

Diddy's rep, Cindi Berger, confirmed the heartbreaking news to the gossip rag, saying, "Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time."

A source told TMZ that Porter had been suffering from "flu-like symptoms" for some time, but, as of this writing, it's unclear just what caused her untimely death. Another insider claimed that Porter had called her doctor just one day before she passed, as she allegedly hadn't been feeling better.

Porter is known for having had a serious, long-term relationship with rapper and record producer Sean "Diddy" Combs. The two dated for 13 years, from 1994 to 2007, though they broke up several times during those years. Porter and Combs shared three children — son Christian Combs, who was born in 1998, and twin daughters Jessie James and D'Lila, who were born in 2006. Porter was also a mother to son Quincy, whom she'd had with music producer Al B. Sure (real name Albert Joseph Brown III), and whom Combs had helped raise (via E! News).

Though Porter and Combs were no longer together, they reportedly enjoyed a close friendship. Earlier in the month, Porter had even shared a photo of Combs with his children on Instagram, writing, "LOVE." She also wished her ex a happy birthday on the social media platform, posting a photo of him and writing in the caption, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY @diddy on this day a GENIUS was born, may you continue to be the Driving Force of ENERGY that GOD created you to be!! Thank you for giving me the best gifts of life our CHILDREN!!"

Our thoughts are with Porter's family and loved ones during this difficult time.
