Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra Celebrate Marriage In North Carolina Wedding Reception
Singer-songwriter Nick Jonas and actress Priyanka Chopra's wedding celebration isn't quite over yet.
The happy couple, who got hitched nearly two months ago in a high-profile wedding, gathered with family and friends on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, to celebrate their nuptials in another wedding reception held at Nellie's Southern Kitchen in Charlotte, N.C.
"Fam jam. Thank you @nelliessouthernkitchen @mamadjonas @papakjonas for a wonderful reception!" Chopra wrote to her 35.2 million followers on Instagram, captioning a sweet snapshot of the married pair with both sides of their extended family. "We love you! This was amazing."
According to Entertainment Tonight, the restaurant in question, which is owned by the Jonas family, featured a number of decorations to commemorate the happy occasion, including an outside wall projection, which read, "Congratulations Nick and Priyanka." Meanwhile, an indoors sign read, "Nick and Priyanka just got hitched. But that knot they tied has not been dipped in gravy or honey or hot chicken grease so it's time we throw them a Nellie's Southern Feast. Mama and Papa J invite you with pride to come celebrate their boy and his bride."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Jonas, 26, and Chopra, 36, tied the knot in early December 2018 at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in the actress' home country of India. Amid their whirlwind romance, the newlyweds previously confirmed their engagement in August 2018, just months after going public with their relationship in May.
According to CNN, the duo first married in a traditional Christian ceremony officiated by Jonas' father, Kevin Jonas Sr., and tied the knot again the following day in a Hindu ceremony. After celebrating their first reception in Delhi just days following their highly-publicized wedding weekend, the celeb pairing hosted a second one in Mumbai in mid-December (via People).
"I love that our wedding was a religious mash-up," Chopra later told People magazine. "We took beautiful traditions that we both grew up with and personalized them in a way that made sense for us." The former Quantico star added, "It's been incredible to find the commonalities between our beliefs and figuring out how to blend them in a respectful and meaningful way."
