Rob & Chyna The Reality Show Is Officially Happening

And now for a bit of news that will shock absolutely no one: Rob Kardashian and his fiancée/baby mama Blac Chyna will star in a six-episode docuseries for E! airing in later in 2016. The series, tentatively titled Rob & Chyna, will follow the couple's "whirlwind romance," reported E! on June 1, 2016. "Each one-hour episode will follow the lovebirds from their engagement to Chyna's pregnancy, and everything in between." In true Kardashian form, the love story won't be limited to just one series. the network said also planning a special "celebrating the birth of their first child together." Fun!

The docuseries is yet another addition to the ever-growing Kardashian television empire, which has launched seemingly countless spinoffs since Keeping Up with the Kardashians debuted in 2007. Other iterations have included Kourtney and Kim Take New York; Kourtney and Kim Take Miami (because why not?); and the Caitlyn Jenner docuseries I Am Cait. The network has also aired Kardashian-related specials in the past, including Kim Kardashian's wedding to basketball star Kris Humphries (and we all know how that one turned out).

The announcement about Rob & Chyna highlights Rob's drastic turnaround after previously going out of his way to hide from the public. He also returned to Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2016 for the first time in years. Kardashian and Chyna announced their engagement in April. They confirmed they were expecting a baby about a month later. Their relationship has caused friction with some members of the Kardashian family. However, sources say the family is pulling together. "Blac Chyna and Kim [Kardashian] are slowly rebuilding their friendship," a source told E! News. "The family is happy to see how bright Rob is and that's what they care about."
