Where Does Jennifer Lopez Live And How Big Is Her House?

Jennifer Lopez is an incredibly successful singer, dancer, actress, and producer with 30 years of industry experience under her belt. According to Celebrity Net Worth, she's worth an estimated $400 million. As you can probably imagine — thanks to her millions — Lopez has bought and sold a number of impressive properties over the years, and, like many celebrities, she usually maintains multiple houses at the same time.

As of January 2020, the superstar is engaged to Alex Rodriguez, and the couple definitely needs plenty of space for their new, blended family. Lopez has two children, twins Emme and Max, 11, while Rodriguez has two daughters, Natasha, 15, and Ella, 11. Lopez and her famous fiancé reportedly put one of their properties up for sale in 2019 and moved into two new homes that have plenty of space for the whole fam, including one in Bel Air and one in Malibu.

Here's the scoop on Jennifer Lopez's current house situation. Spoiler alert: It's really extravagant.

Jennifer Lopez keeps a house in New York City

Jennifer Lopez, formerly known as "Jenny from the Block," was born and raised in the Bronx in New York City. Growing up, she shared a small two-story house in the Castle Hill neighborhood with her parents and two sisters. It was so small that she had to share a bedroom with her sisters. The star has certainly come a long way since then. In 2014, she bought her own four-bedroom luxury penthouse overlooking Madison Square Park — it's now worth $27 million.

With Lopez's fiancé also a New York native (he's from Washington Heights), the couple will probably always maintain ties to the Big Apple. After they shacked up, Lopez put her own penthouse up for sale and they moved into their own love nest: a 4,000-square-foot apartment on Park Avenue. They bought the property in March 2018 for $15 million, Page Six reports. However, their stay on Park Avenue was short-lived. The pair put the property up for sale less than a year later due to the size of their newly blended family. "They love the services, the amenities — they use the gym, they use the boardroom for meetings," a source told Page Six. "But for the size of their family, they need something much larger."

A source close to the couple said Lopez and Rodriguez planned to buy a bigger abode in downtown Manhattan.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are based in Bel Air

While Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez hunt for their new, perfect NYC apartment, they're based in Bel Air, Calif. Architectural Digest reports that Lopez bought their mansion in Bel Air from actress Sela Ward in 2016. The $28 million mansion is definitely big enough for the whole family. According to real estate company Trulia, it's on an eight-acre piece of land, and boasts seven bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a 30-seat screening room, a 100-seat amphitheater, and an infinity pool. The house is 13,932 square feet in total.

Lopez says she always imagined sharing the French country style estate with Rodriguez and their kids. "We walked into this house, and I said, 'This is where I want my kids to grow up,'" she told Vanity Fair in 2017. "You have to imagine your life, and what you want to be in it, and I imagined we would be very happy here no matter what."

Vanity Fair describes the house's interior as "light-filled, sprawling, and warm, with wood-beamed ceilings, stone walls, plush low-slung sofas, big pillows, bowls filled with cut roses, and artwork by collagist Peter Tunney." Additionally, there are pictures of Lopez and Rodriguez's children as one family all over the house.

The property is incredibly private, too. Luckily, there's plenty to do without leaving the grounds, including a private mini lake!

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have a beach house in Malibu

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez bought a vacation house in Malibu shortly after putting their New York apartment up for sale in 2019, Architectural Digest reports. It's a three-story beach house that previously belonged to actor Jeremy Piven, and it cost them $6.6 million — a steal, compared to some of their other real estate purchases! The 4,404-square-foot house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, including a master suite that takes up the entire top floor. Each bedroom has its own direct view of the ocean. Other amenities include an outdoor jacuzzi, a dry sauna, and a screening room.

But that's not all! In addition to their home base in Bel Air, their Malibu beach house, and their New York apartment, Lopez and Rodriguez also have two other homes between them: a house in the Hamptons and a mansion in Coral Gables, Florida. When your combined net worth is $750 million, why pick just one?
