The Truth About The Gigi Hadid, Zayn Malik, & Jake Paul Feud

While some celebrity feuds are left up to mere speculation — tall tales manufactured by tabloids to sell an extra issue or two — other stars choose to fight their battles publicly. In this instance, supermodel Gigi Hadid took to Twitter to defend her on-again/off-again beau, pop star Zayn Malik, against harsh accusations lobbed by controversial YouTuber Jake Paul.

"Almost had to clap up zane from 1 direction because he is a little guy and has an attitude and basically told me to f**k off for no reason when I was being nice to him..." Paul wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted. "Zane ik you're reading this... stop being angry cause u came home alone to ur big a** hotel room hahaha." Paul's younger brother, Logan Paul, also tweeted: "Bro he literally started yelling and freaking the f**k out 'you wanna test me mate.' lol I feel bad for childhood stars."

Hadid, however, was quick to respond in Malik's defense. "Lol cause he doesn't care to hang w you and your embarrassing crew of YouTube groupies ..?" the Victoria's Secret model tweeted. "Home alone with his best friends like a respectful king cause he has me, sweetie. Unbothered by your irrelevant ugly a**. Go to bed..."

Malik hasn't commented on the situation yet, but with Hadid's takedown on record, does he even need to?

This isn't the first time Gigi Hadid has defended Zayn Malik

When Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik reconciled after a brief breakup in 2018, Hadid left numerous lengthy comments on an account dedicated solely to "exposing" her "fake" relationship with the One Direction singer.

"Seems like u guys tag me in a new post every day ... pls stop.. it's just negative, I really have no hard feelings towards you I just know what a beautiful world there is to go out and live in instead of trying to dissect a relationship between two people that you don't even know and that you do not see 99% of," the supermodel said.

"The energy you put into this does not serve you our your life in any way kids.... truly 'beating a dead horse.' You guys can call it promo but I just post about my boyfriend like anyone else, whether I support z or he supports me is out of love and excitement for one another," she continued. "There's nothing to figure out all the time... give it a break." Hadid added: "It's just sad to have to defend my relationship when I just want to feel like a normal girl w a normal boyfriend sometimes."

And, as it turns out, Malik and Hadid are reading from the same sheet of music.

Zayn Malik has defended Gigi Hadid on social media, too

In early 2019, amid rumors that Gigi Hadid had moved on from Zayn Malik with designer Samuel Krost, Malik posted an odd message that many thought pertained to Hadid's relationship status. "How about you all go f**k yourselves with your irrelevant bulls**t," he tweeted. Woah!

When speculation erupted across social media, Malik returned to Twitter to clarify his intent. "My tweet was not about [Gigi Hadid] so leave her the f**k alone she is the most amazing woman I've ever known," he tweeted. "And [she] does nothing but love and support me when lord knows I don't deserve it. If you know nothing shut your f**king mouth."

Hadid added her take on the matter, tweeting: "If you outlets are going to continue writing bs headlines every time I'm seen with a friend of the male gender then there's gunna be a lot of unneeded confusion."

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik rekindled their on-and-off romance

Despite the fact that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have broken up numerous times, the high-profile couple supposedly reunited in December 2019. A source told E! News that Hadid was giving the former One Direction crooner "another chance." The insider added, "She has always loved him and the break between the two was needed. Zayn has been working on his past music and focusing on his health and is in a really good place currently."

Hadid ignited reconciliation rumors when she posted an Instagram story in which she was cooking a recipe from Malik's mom, whom she tagged. The celebs insisted they were simply friends, but paparazzi caught the two out and about in New York City in January 2020.

Another source told E! News that Hadid "has always had a soft spot for Zayn and they have a lot of history together. They went through a phase where they took time apart and weren't communicating at all, but they have been in touch recently. She is supportive of him. They chat here and there but it's been casual."

Whatever the case may be, these two clearly aren't going to let a YouTube personality get in the way. More power to them!
