Kim And Kourtney Kardashian Come To Blows In 'KUWTK' Trailer
Just when you thought Keeping Up with the Kardashians couldn't get any more dramatic, the series released a wild Season 18 trailer featuring an epic showdown between siblings Kourtney and Kim Kardashian. In the scene, which we'll explore more deeply after the jump, shows the two arguing with one another to the point of throwing physical blows. This must have been what Kim was referring to when she teased during a February 2020 appearance on Laura Wasser's podcast, "It gets a lot worse before it gets better, but, you know, we're a really close family. It all works out. Our family's never dealt with this before." Younger sister Kendall Jenner also chimed in on the drama during a January 2020 cameo on The Ellen Show, stating, "There's some pretty crazy things that happen."
This isn't the first time fans have seen Kim and Kourtney fight, but it's never reached a physical place before. And fans are now wondering what transpired for the pair to hit such an ugly crescendo, a question we'll dive into for all the inquiring minds out there.
Tension has been brewing for a while now
In Season 17 of KUWTK, Kim and Khloé Kardashian reached a breaking point with Kourtney Kardashian about her unwillingness to film certain parts of her private life. " ... early on we all made a pact to share our lives," she said in a December 2019 voiceover on the series, per E! News. "That's our job. Kourt spends a lot of time off-camera and won't talk about her relationship, but you'll see paparazzi photos of her and her guy." Khloé shared her frustration, commenting on a fan report criticizing Kourtney's supposed lack of transparency, "I'm not surprised that the report says that people don't feel like they know the real Kourtney, 'cause sometimes I don't think Kim and I know the real Kourtney."
We're not sure if the sisters' issues with filming are to blame for the recent fight with Kourtney, although the trio's tension is quite apparent in the trailer. "Why do you have to have an attitude," Khloe complains to Kourtney in the trailer, to which the mom-of-three replies, "Just don't involve yourself in business that is not yours." In another part of the preview, the Poosh founder screams at Kim, "You have nothing to say!" She then chucks a water bottle at her sister, prompting Kanye West's wife to shout, "Don't ever come at me like that!" The scene ends with the two attacking one another, which is the height of drama.
This isn't Kim and Kourtney Kardashian's first fight
As we noted, the bad blood between Kim and Kourtney Kardashian has been escalating for a long time. Case in point: In September 2019, the sisters got into an epic fight after Kim accused Kourtney of copying her style, a jab which quickly escalated from there. "Kim and I just got into the biggest fight. She was just going so crazy. She's sending me the meanest text messages, you would die," Kourtney told her friend on an episode of KUWTK. "She's like, 'You're the biggest ungrateful b***h.' So, then I said, 'God! You're such a petty woman.'" The health-oriented mom continued, "I said, 'You're going to school to become a lawyer and help the world and these are the kinds of problems you have?'"
In terms of Kim, she was furious with Kourtney's supposed fake concern about world affairs. "You f***kin' fake humanitarian hoe. I actually do s**t for the world and you f***king fake it all day long," she ranted to her mom, Kris Jenner. "And act like, 'Oh! There's people dying, Kim.' And what the f**k are you doing about it? So, shut the f**k up."
Yep, it's clear these two have longheld issues to work out.
Kourtney Kardashian might leave the show
In recent years, Kourtney Kardashian has expressed less interest in continuing on with KUWTK. This was especially apparent when Kourtney said she wouldn't care if the series ended tomorrow, a statement that appeared to offend Khloé Kardashian. And in November 2019, the mom-of-three revealed during an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she's ready to switch gears. "I've just decided to spend more time as a mom and you know, put more of my energy there," she explained. "But I'm not saying goodbye." It's also possible Kourtney might change her life somewhere abroad, as she revealed to Paper magazine, "I always say I want to move away someday and just be away from it all. Sail away. No one will ever see me again. ... Maybe Norway. Switzerland? I've got a lot of ideas."
