Justin Timberlake Slapped At Celebrity Golf Tournament
Justin Timberlake was slapped by a fan at a celebrity golf tournament. Video footage of the incident was captured by TMZ at the American Century Celebrity Pro-Am in Lake Tahoe on July 23rd, 2016. In the clip, the 34-year-old singer is seen walking through a crowd of adoring fans when a man's hand lightly touches his right cheek. A visibly annoyed Timberlake then turns to the guy and yells, "Bro, why would you do that?" before continuing on his way.
According to the report, the slap was initially deemed a "minor incident" by tournament reps and Timberlake did not want to press charges. However, things took a turn for the worse when police tried to escort the culprit off the premises. According to TMZ, the man "appeared intoxicated and became belligerent," prompting police to arrest him on disorderly conduct charges.
In his defense, the man claimed he "just wanted to 'touch' Justin and got overzealous." For anyone who has followed Timberlake's career since the days of 'N Sync, this kind of behavior seems totally understandable. Sometimes JT's fans just can't stop the feeling.
To add insult to injury, Timberlake finished in 21st place at the tournament.
