The Untold Truth Of Mary-Kate Olsen's Ex, Olivier Sarkozy

On May 13, 2020, news broke that Mary-Kate Olsen had filed for divorce from Olivier Sarkozy, her husband since 2015. Olsen actually first signed a petition for divorce in April 2020, according to court papers obtained by TMZ, but divorce filings are on hold in New York City because of the coronavirus pandemic. Now that Olsen's husband is reportedly trying to force her out of their apartment, she's requesting an emergency court order to speed the divorce along.

Page Six shared more insight into the former Full House star's court papers. Olsen wrote, "I am petrified that my husband is trying to deprive me of the home we have lived in and if he is successful, I will not only lose my home but I risk losing my personal property as well." If her emergency divorce plan succeeds, it would "trigger an automatic court order preventing him from disposing her of her property," per TMZ.

Mary-Kate Olsen and her twin sister Ashley Olsen have an estimated net worth of $500 million, and she expects that her prenuptial agreement will be enforced, according to Us Weekly. But to get to that step, she has to start the divorce proceedings first.

The court papers also state that "the relationship between [the two] has broken down irretrievably for a period of at least six months," per Page Six. But prior to this mess, Olsen and Sarkozy had a surprisingly drama-free relationship. Here's a look into who Olsen's soon-to-be-ex-husband Olivier Sarkozy really is.
