The Untold Truth Of AzMarie Livingston And Raven-Symone's Breakup

Before marrying her current wife Miranda Maday, actress Raven-Symoné was in a three-year relationship with model AzMarie Livingston that ended in 2015. The Raven's Home star, who has never wanted to label her sexuality, began dating Livingston (real name Ashley Marie Livingston) in 2012, according to Us Weekly.

Amid their relationship in 2014, Us Weekly reported that Raven said on Where Are They Now?, "My mother and people in my family, they've taught me to keep my personal life to myself as much as possible, but I am proud to be who I am and what I am." As such, her relationship with Livingston was kept pretty quiet.

Livingston made a name for herself on America's Next Top Model before landing a role in Empire. She's been living an openly gay life, which isn't something Raven wanted to do while they were dating, according to Cheatsheet. Raven was hugely supportive of Livingston's acting career, though, often gushing about how talented her then-girlfriend was. She told People in 2015 just a few months before they broke up, "My partner is in a show that people are going ape crazy for. I'm proud of her."

Their relationship fizzled in fall 2015, though the reason for the split isn't really clear. There appears to be no bad blood between the two, though, as Livingston commented on one of Raven's wedding pictures on Instagram with a simple, "Congratulations friend."

Raven-Symoné found happiness with her new wife Miranda Maday

Since splitting with AzMarie Livingston, Raven-Symoné moved on and fell in love with her now-wife Miranda Maday. It's unclear how long the two dated before getting married in June 2020, as the notoriously private Raven never posted anything about her relationship on social media.

The actress only shared a few photos from the surprise wedding on her Instagram on June 18, 2020, where she and Maday donned the traditional black-and-white attire. Raven captioned one of the photos, "I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home. I love you Mrs. Pearman-Maday! Let's tear this world a new assh*le!!! I's married NOW."

As of now, we don't know much about the Disney Channel star and her new wife's relationship or even much about Maday herself, but we do know she's a doula, per an Instagram post for her own mom in May 2020. She wrote, "As a doula I am privileged to witness the incredible strength each woman embodies while bringing their baby earth-side (c sections count too!) and the fierce love, sacrifice and work it takes to raise a child."

And Livingston and Raven are just as supportive of each other as ever. They still follow each other on Instagram, and Livingston was quick to send her well wishes to her ex on her nuptials.
