The Real Reason Tyler1 Can't Stand Dr Disrespect

Tyler "Tyler1" Steinkamp is one of the biggest names in League of Legends. He is one of the best Draven players out there, and will demolish opponents who think they know how to counter his moves. He's also been known to throw temper tantrums now and again. Both Tyler1's skill and his anger management issues, however, are nothing compared to his rivalry with Herschel "Dr Disrespect" Beahm IV.

Even though Tyler1 and Dr Disrespect haven't met on the digital battlefield, they take every opportunity to roast one another, whether it's on stream or in videos. But what started this feud? More specifically, why is it that Tyler1 can't stand Dr Disrespect? Read on for the answer.

Dr Disrespect mocked Tyler1's choice of game

Dr Disrespect is the shooter streamer. If there's a battle royale game with guns, he's probably played and/or streamed it. Dr Disrespect has conquered foes in Apex Legends, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, and Call of Duty: Warzone. Meanwhile, Tyler1 has mostly stayed with League of Legends. Sure, he's tried other titles in the past with varying degrees of success. His esports game of choice is LoL, however, and Dr Disrespect won't let him forget it.

During one of Tyler1's many LoL streams, Dr Disrespect chimed in to mock Tyler1's skill, stating he "couldn't imagine playing the same game over and over for years to still be average." Tyler1, in typical fashion, responded with the claim that he's one of the best League of Legends players in the country. However, he didn't spend too much time on the subject since he "had a game to win."

Tyler1 clearly takes a lot of pride in the time he has put into LoL and doesn't let anyone, including Dr Disrespect, mock his choices.

Dr Disrespect makes fun of Tyler1's height

Tyler1 might be a big Twitch streamer, but he has even bigger muscles. Thanks to this bod, you might get the impression he's a big guy. In actuality, Tyler1 is five-foot-six. That isn't much shorter than the average height for a man in the United States, which is five-foot-nine. However, since Dr Disrespect towers over him thanks to his six-foot-eight stature, Dr Disrespect takes every opportunity to belittle Tyler1's height.

Dr Disrespect has claimed Tyler1 is four-foot-eleven on multiple occasions, and even when he isn't verbally mocking Tyler1's height, he still pokes fun at it using his video thumbnails. Many of Dr Disrespect's thumbnails are edited to make Tyler1 look shorter than he really is. In response, Tyler1 has struck back with statements that Dr Disrespect is comparatively skinny and weak.

Tyler1 doesn't seem insecure about his height, but he won't hesitate to go after anyone who makes fun of it — especially Dr Disrespect.

From viewer count war to arm wrestling battle

Out of all the battles waged between Tyler1 and Dr Disrespect, none was quite as notable as the battle of their post-break stream views. After all, they are two of the world's biggest Twitch streamers (well, were in Dr Disrespect's case, since he's now permanently banned from Twitch). But there can only be one supreme streamer, and what better way to settle the score than by seeing whose return to Twitch would gather the most views?

Technically, the viewer count war was unofficial, but things got out of hand when Twitter got involved. Some fans argued that Tyler1 acquired more concurrent views, while others claimed Dr Disrespect had the higher view count. Then Dr Disrespect tweeted about "winning" the viewer war, and Tyler1 angrily tweeted back. One thing led to another, and eventually the Twitter feud escalated to an arm wrestling challenge that would settle things once and for all.

How does one go from arguing over views to arm wrestling? Such is the wild and wacky world of Twitch disputes on Twitter.
