Nearly three decades after "The Mummy" came out, Rachel Weisz and Brendan Fraser reunited in 2026 to reprise their roles as spouses Evelyn and Rick O'Connell in the fourth installment of the franchise. While Fraser appeared in all three previous films, Weisz skipped out on "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor," which came out in 2008, after portraying Evelyn in 1999's OG installment and in 2001's "The Mummy Returns." A lot has happened in the meantime, and both stars have changed accordingly.

Weisz was 29 when the first movie came out, while Fraser was 30. They stepped into their beloved roles again while in their mid- to late-50s, so they naturally don't look the same. However, they look as great as ever. The below-left photo shows Weisz in October 2025, and the below-right photo shows Fraser in September 2026, both taken at separate film festivals.

Fans of the franchise were elated to see the stars back in action for "The Mummy: Book of the Dead," expected to release in late 2027 as of writing. They flocked to social media to express how gorgeous Weisz looks all these years later and to highlight their delight amid the powerful comeback of Fraser after being shunned by Hollywood in the 2010s. "They both look good, but [it's] giving me such joy seeing Brendan so happy!!" a Reddit user gushed in an October 2026 thread. Others had similar takes. "I love that they both look great but look their age!" a second Redditor raved. Overall, fans were just thrilled to see the O'Connells back together and looking so healthy. "Excited for this, 'The Mummy' is still a near perfect movie. These two still look great!" a third wrote. We couldn't agree more.

Rachel Weisz and Brendan Fraser are focusing on healthy aging

Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz share a similar approach to aging. Instead of wanting to look younger, the stars are focusing on their health, and both have chosen to see the positive side of aging. Fraser is glad to have come out the other side of the objectification era of his career. He said on NPR's "Fresh Air" in 2025, " ... we evolve, our bodies change as we grow older, whether you like it or not ... Do what you need to do to feel good and healthy" (via Instagram).

As he aged, he started to really listen to his body and adapt his workout routine accordingly. "I learned to, honestly, just work with what I have, as opposed to just blindly pumping weights and micro-tearing my body up from the inside out," said Fraser, who suffered a series of injuries from his physically demanding roles. His "Mummy" co-star shares a lot of the same opinions. While Weisz has undergone many transformations, she always took care of her body. "I'm pretty healthy but I don't have any fad diets or anything. I eat meat and drink alcohol, but everything in moderation," she said in 2010 to Digital Spy, adding, "I think happiness is the secret to health."

Similarly, Weisz has also enjoyed the perspective she has gained from getting older. " ... it's hard to be young, too," she told More in 2015 (via E! News). "It's hard to not know who you are. My twenties were painful at times. Now I have wisdom and experience." All these years later, the former co-stars are ready to show they still have it — and fans can't wait.
