Sean Penn's Daughter Dylan Has Grown Up To Be Gorgeous
Sean Penn's little girl is all grown up and she's gorgeous, just like her mother. Born in April 1991, Dylan is the oldest child from Penn's marriage to Robin Wright. While movie fans might remember seeing her with her famous parents in the '90s and '00s, they would surely have to do a double-take these days. Now in her mid-30s, Dylan is the perfect mix of Penn and Wright. Dylan has her own career in the entertainment industry and often walks red carpets with her parents, giving us plenty of opportunity to see the family resemblance.
Dylan's looks are even more striking when she steps out with her mother. Their shared beauty was undeniable when mother and daughter attended the Ralph Lauren SS23 Runway Show (below). Dylan has Wright's blond hair and almond-shaped blue eyes accentuated by similarly strong brows. She also has her mother's high cheek bones and well-defined jaw. That doesn't mean there's no Penn in there. She appears to have her father's nose and mannerisms. But her likeness to the "House of Cards" alum rarely goes unremarked.
Wright's fans never fail to mention how much they look alike whenever the actor shares her daughter's photo on social media. "A new Princess Buttercup???? Twins!" an Instagram user commented on a 2022 post, referring to Wright's breakout role in the 1987 cult classic, "The Princess Bride." Dylan's followers don't let it slide, either. "She gets it from her momma!" a netizen wrote under one of Dylan's posts in 2025. Dylan grew up to be gorgeous, indeed.
Dylan Penn started modeling in her youth
Dylan Penn won the genetic lottery, inheriting the best of both Sean Penn and Robin Wright. And her beauty didn't go unrecognized. She started modeling at 18, when she moved to New York after failing to get into the college. Her parents, unhappy with her decision to forgo higher education, said they wouldn't support her. After working in restaurants and bars, she tried advertising for a while, and eventually landed at modeling during the day and delivering pizzas at night. "It was a humbling experience, that's for sure," she told Brut in 2024.
But what started as a way to support her dream of being in New York City turned into a career. In 2013, at age 22, she appeared in a Gap campaign that led to work in GQ, W, and Elle. By 2014, she signed with Premier Model Management. "She represents the modern model and muse — so intelligent, with bags of personality and talent," a spokesperson told British Vogue. Dylan has since branched out, adding actor to her list of career accomplishments. In 2021, she even shared the screen with her father in "Flag Day."
But that wasn't the original plan. "I really did think that acting was the most ridiculous career choice: dressing up as a different character as an adult," she told WWD in 2021. Wright was equally surprised that both of her children followed in their parents' footsteps. "They would say constantly as they grew up: 'Oh God, I would never be an actor, I hate it, I've been on sets my whole life,'" Wright told The Guardian in 2017.
