Celebs Whose Stunt Doubles Are As Attractive As They Are

It's nice to imagine that Scarlett Johansson and Keanu Reeves can actually swing from building to building and do triple backflips, but in reality, the film crews have hired trained professionals to perform those dangerous acts. Stuntmen and women should really get more clout for their brave and acrobatic feats that often put their lives at risk. Not only are these doppelgängers a bunch of badass, parkour legends with the agility and poise of a greek god (or goddess), many of them happen to be just as attractive as (if not more than) the celebs they portray.

From lady bosses who can kick literal butt, to burly, indestructible male stallions, the following celebs may be facing some tough competition with their extreme, eye candy doubles. Several of these actors have even formed heartwarming companionships with their courageous comrades who take all the falls, kicks, and punches to protect the stars of the show.

Blonde baddies x 2

This blonde bombshell brought the super cute but mildly psychotic Harley Quinn to life in Suicide Squad. But has she met her match? Ingrid Kleinig (above right), who is just as bad as she is beautiful, is a renowned stunt coordinator and performer who played Margot Robbie's stunt double in the DC comic book flick, as well as in The Legend of Tarzan

Don't let her sweet, angelic face fool you. She's got some bold and daring moves. In fact, according to her interview with Jedd Jong, Kleinig described one of her most death-defying feats like so: "I rode a motorcycle and crashed head-on into a van that was on fire, then flew [through] the flames and landed on the road on the other side." Just your average Monday, right? But she also hinted at a healthy rivalry she shared with Robbie on the set. "She's one of the most physically talented performers I've ever worked with. She's unbelievable ... especially when it comes [to] fight choreography," Kleinig told Jong, adding, "She and I had this great sort of constructive competitiveness that brings out the best in each other."

Fellow A-List stunners Brie Larson and Evangeline Lilly also enlisted Kleinig's fearless aptitudes for Captain Marvel and Kong: Skull Island, and The Hobbit and Ant-Man and the Wasp, respectively. Fun fact: according to her official online bio, Kleinig actually caught her big break at the opening ceremony of the 2000 Olympics.

DiCaprio and his dapper double turn heads

Charming and brawny brunette, Sean Taylor (above right), had the privilege of performing some pretty brutal stunts for Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant. Now that DiCaprio has finally won an Oscar for his performance in this film, we can guess that a prideful smile swept over Taylor's face for this once-in-a-lifetime recognition as well.

The agility and endurance reflected by the chiseled, surfer-turned-stuntman can likely be credited to his previous professional career dedicated to catching some gnarly waves. He put his aquatic acumen to the test for the famous river escape scene in The Revenant, which he claims was his riskiest, most challenging stunt to date. "We filmed in Montana in frigid water, and the conditions were very challenging to say the least," Taylor told Carlsbad Magazine, adding, "We were there with a huge crew for two weeks to accomplish the 20 seconds that actually went on film." Swimming downstream in an ice-cold river has got to be daunting, but for Taylor and his fellow stunt work colleagues, it's all in a day's work. "It's an underground community, and most stuntmen don't even post on social media about the incredible stuff they're doing, like catching 60 foot waves. You get recognized in your network of people that you work with, as opposed to being gratified on that bigger scale.

Taylor has also doubled for Luke Wilson in Ride, Gerard Butler in Chasing Mavericks, Ansel Elgort in Insurgent, and Miles Teller in Fantastic Four.

Jennifer Garner is real life BFFs with her stunt double

This dimpled cutie's counterpart is a hottie herself. Shauna Duggins (above left) played Jennifer Garner's double in several films, including Alias. The best part? They are actually close friends. "We have such an amazing relationship. It's like coming home. I know I'm gonna have a great time, I know no one has my back more than Jennifer on any show on any set anywhere. If I need something, she's there and vice versa," boasts Duggins in a Bustle interview. Every brunette needs a blonde best friend, right?

Garner reciprocated the admiration, telling the Los Angeles Times, "Shauna kind of becomes my director through the action scenes. It's like we're talking about the character at the same time that we're talking about what's going to be a good hit on camera. ... Our relationship on set is so special."

The uber brave stunt actress also gave Garner a helping hand in Daredevil and Elektra, among many other female-led films. Both of these stunning women are versatile creatures, with soft, charming smiles off-camera and butt-kicking personas on screen that have landed them both Emmy nominations. Furthermore, Garner's not Duggin's only gal. Duggins has also been featured as a double for Cameron Diaz, Anne Hathaway, and Charlize Theron.

The Matrix star meets his... Mack

The fierce star of The Matrix, Keanu Reeves, has a stunt double that could easily send fans head over heels just by his (oh so dark and mysterious) looks alone. Michael Alan Charles Kuhr aka Mack, is as fine as an aged merlot and he's arguably even more attractive than Reeves himself. According to his official website, Kuhr performed stunts for Reeves in John Wick and John Wick: Chapter 2, and has also been featured in several additional high profile productions, including Gossip Girl and Ugly Betty

According to a 2016 tweet by Kuhr, the two are more than just partners in crime. "Two movies together, good friend & great actor," beams Kuhr in the caption for a photo of himself alongside Reeves.

Kuhr is well-versed when it comes to handling weapons, which just adds to his dangerous, bad boy aura. This top-of-the-line, jack of all trades isn't solely known for his hardcore skills on set; he's also a voice actor currently partnering with HOBBS Hawaiian tea and musician, Ryan Farish. And yes, he sounds as sexy as he looks.

Can you tell which pirate is which?

Former stuntman Tony Angelotti (above right) bears an uncanny resemblance to Johnny Depp. But his days performing the jaw-dropping physical theatrics of Captain Jack Sparrow are gone. Why? Angelotti almost died in a stunt gone wrong during filming for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest in 2005.

According to Los Angeles Times, Angelotti quite literally took the fall for Depp when an alleged error in his rigging sent him into a free fall that basically tore his pelvis apart and caused several other injuries, including "internal bleeding." Yikes. Recounting Angelotti's career-ending injury and grueling recovery Metro reported that the performer "lost six units of blood, had an ACL reconstruction and spent a year in recovery, before having to have the surgery all over again when a plate in his pelvis broke. He also suffered from PTSD."

Despite his downfall when attempting to mimic a "human yo-yo," Angelotti looks back fondly on his relationship with Depp, who sometimes invited him into his trailer for wine after a long shoot. "I can remember having beautiful Bordeaux and just sort of recapping the day and just talking about the stunts and things to come," Angelotti, told Metro. He also recounted a time when Depp looked out for him after another on-set injury, when a director wanted to keep shooting before Angelotti was properly cared for. "We're not doing a f***ing thing until he gets looked at by the medic," Depp allegedly declared. "And it was like, 'Thank you, Johnny!'" said Angelotti.

Taylor Lautner's double will make you do a double take

As if Taylor Lautner himself isn't tempting enough, his stunt twin, Gabriel Nunez (above right), also takes the cake for tall, dark, and handsome. The two of them put together? Simply dreamy. Nunez was Lautner's double in Tracers and lucky for everyone, the paparazzi were able to snap a photo of the two together on set. While filming Tracers in New York City, Nunez took some brutal hits during a ruthless brawl with two street thug-type actors, according to the Daily Mail.

As the tabloid also points out, the look on Lautner's face while eyeing his doppelganger has admiration written all over it. If we had someone taking a punch to the gut for us, we'd gaze at them with gratitude, too. However, Nunez can't take all the credit for taking a beating from the pony-tail wearing, tattooed nemesis in the gnarly fight scene. Lautner was seen enduring a stranglehold and other acts of violence during this same film session.

Tanned and scruffed Nunez is also featured as Adam Sandler's body double in You Don't Mess With the Zohan and Colin Farrell's double in Dead Man Down, True Detective, and Total Recall.

The Rock shows much love to his rock-hard stand-in

It may come as a surprise that this monstrous man made of pure muscle doesn't do all of his own stunts. However, Dwayne Johnson does, in fact, have a sidekick. His famous, long-time stunt double, Tanoai Reed (above right), could easily pass as Johnson's clone and it goes without saying that he's an actual sexy beast. The actor has been posing as Johnson for over 20 years, putting his life on the line through intense live-action feats in films like The Rundown, Gridiron Gang, The Game Plan, Pain & Gain, plus several flicks in the Fast & Furious franchise.

If you've ever seen videos of Johnson with his adorable daughter, Jasmine, however, you know firsthand that he's a big teddy bear. Reed bragged about the gentle giant in an interview with GQ, saying, "Everything he does is from the heart, and I couldn't have asked for a better boss and partner. It's rare that an actor appreciates or even acknowledges their stunt double. It's all about their ego, but with Dwayne, he doesn't really have one." We're not crying, you are.

Those feelings are clearly mutual, since Johnson has gone above and beyond to thank Reed, including buying him a new truck. Johnson posted a video of the surprise custom gift on Instagram, gushing about Reed, who he calls his "cousin," in the caption: "Tanoai Reed has broken multiple bones, severed tendons, torn ligaments & just been an overall dominating bad a** achieving several 'Stuntman of the Year' honors ... Love you uso and thank you for the blood, sweat, tears and years."

Natalie Portman's dance double dished the drama

Sarah Lane (above right) could easily pass as Natalie Portman, especially during her body double work in the controversial film Black Swan. In addition to the debacle regarding the risque imagery in the film, even more debate sparked centering around one of the dance scenes in the movie. The poised and graceful beauties tag-teamed the notorious pirouette parades — or so we thought. Lane played Portman's dance double in the critically-acclaimed production and let's just say she was infuriated (to say the least) at the lack of recognition she received.

Lane claims that while Portman was rightfully praised for her acting, it was Lane's legwork that wowed audiences, and she was not credited properly. In a 2011 20/20 interview, she let loose, saying, "I'm just speaking because they're completely lying about the amount of dancing that Natalie did in the movie." Ouch.

Black Swan director, Darren Aronofsky, had something to say about Lane's claims. "There are 139 dance shots in the film. 111 are Natalie Portman untouched. 28 are her dance double Sarah Lane. If you do the math that's 80% Natalie Portman," Aronofsky tells Entertainment Weekly. "I am responding to this to put this to rest and to defend my actor. Natalie sweated long and hard to deliver a great physical and emotional performance. And I don't want anyone to think that's not her they are watching. It is," he persists.

We probably shouldn't hold out hope for Black Swan 2

Believe it or not, there are two Thors

Bobby Holland Hanton (above left) is a total hottie with a body who adds the "double" in double trouble with drool-worthy Thor actor Chris Hemsworth. Doing stunt work someone like Hemsworth is not always fun and games. It's a lot of hard work, as noted by Holland in a Buzzfeed interview where he opens up about a day in the life as a Hemsworth clone. The London stunner began working with Hemsworth on Snow White and the Huntsman and moved on up to Thor 2 — and now the pair is basically inseparable.

"He's a great dad, great husband, great friend... all-round legend. We have become very close friends now, I love him," Hanton told Buzzfeed. He also claims he "has to eat about 35 meals a day" and "train twice a day" to duplicate Hemsworth's massive size. On the other hand, "Chris is naturally a monster and all he has to do is look at weights and he grows," Hanton says.

Hemsworth seemingly hasn't said much about Hanton publicly, but Hanton rarely misses an opportunity to extoll their apparent bromance. During an interview on the Krysti & Bodge – Hit Mid North Coast podcast, he said, "We've done maybe 12 movies together, so we've got a great relationship and a great understanding."

Scarlett fever hits with Ms. Moneymaker

We all know the multi-award-winning legend Scarlett Johansson is the epitome of female empowerment in Hollywood, but so is her double, Heidi Moneymaker (above right). This kickass star literally takes the hit for Johansson and we can only hope it won't tarnish her gorgeous features that very much resemble her counterpart. Moneymaker stars in several Marvel movies with Johansson, including Iron Man 2, Black Widow, Captain America: Civil War, and The Avengers franchise. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Johansson admits she had no experience with martial arts before her role in Iron Man 2, but Heidi came to the rescue as both a stunt double and a coach for the actress.

"[Heidi and I] got to create this side of the character and expand on it over this past decade. I don't know how many actors have the opportunity to play the same character over 10 years," says Johansson. The hard-bodied gymnast reveals the challenges of being a stuntwoman versus a stuntman. "Wardrobe for women is tighter and skimpier," she explains. "When you get slammed into walls or hit by a car, it's harder to pad up. If a guy is wearing fatigues or something a little baggier, they have the opportunity to put more padding on."

Moneymaker's brave mentality has created a trusting mentorship between the pair. "I tell myself, 'Do whatever Heidi does. Just listen to whatever she says and she'll keep me safe," says Johansson. What an honor.

Chris Pratt's double doesn't mind doing the dirty work

This oh-so-lovable, goofy, and equally badass Parks and Recreation actor, Chris Pratt, is just as charming as he is alluring. The same can quite truthfully be said about his beefcake double, Tony McFarr (above left). He worked with the multifaceted actor in intense action films, including Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy. Pratt has since gained tons of respect and gratitude for McFarr, especially after the beating the guy apparently took for him on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

"This is a picture from the last day of shooting. I was slammed into a wall and only dislocated my finger. I'm going to call that a win. Working with James Gunn, Lars Winther, Pratt, and Kurt Russell was a great experience, 10 staples and all!" McFarr captioned an Instagram post of himself and Pratt sharing laughs in full costume on the set. The love is definitely reciprocal, as proven by Pratt's own post-production shoutout to McFarr in which he writes, "Been working with Tony since Jurassic World. Love you buddy! Happy wrap!"
