The Real Reason Loren Gray And Ian Jeffrey Broke Up

With more than 20 million Instagram admirers and over 40 million TikTok followers, Loren Gray — who, as Business Insider reported, was the most followed user on the lip syncing app until Charli D'Amelio took the lead in March 2020 — is one of the most popular teens on the internet.

This following has allowed Gray to build quite the impressive career in the entertainment industry. She became a pop star in 2018 with her singles "Queen" and "My Story," and was featured in Taylor Swift's music video "The Man" in 2020. "She's the sweetest. She knew where I was from before I even said anything," Gray told Distracify of the "Cardigan" singer

Gray has become a bona fide superstar since she first joined TikTok (née Musical.ly) in 2015, and her fans want to know everything about her. So, it shouldn't come as a shock that her followers were excited when she and Ian Jeffrey, YouTube influencer James Charles' younger brother, made things Instagram official in 2018. However, things fizzled out the following year and all traces of the relationship were deleted off of social media. This has fans wondering why Loren Gray and Ian Jeffrey broke up.

Loren Gray and Ian Jeffrey live different lives

The former couple never publicly divulged much information about their short-lived fling, but Loren Gray did tell ET that she met Ian Jeffrey through his brother, YouTube star James Charles. And as for the reason they broke up? Well, that's still a pretty big unknown. It does feel worth noting that they lead very different lives: Gray is an influencer and singer based in California, whereas Jeffrey models for an agency based in New York

One thing we know for sure is that the breakup was amicable. The "Alone" singer took to Twitter in 2019 to assure fans there was no bad blood between the two. "ian and i are no longer together. i'm still always here for him as a friend and we are better that way," she wrote.

They've moved on, and Gray is thought to be dating singer Kyle DeLoera, who goes by the stage name DYSN. Since September 2020, DeLoera and Gray have been sharing cute pictures they've taken together on social media. When DeLoera first popped up on Gray's Instagram, the TikTok personality simply wrote, "beeb." She has since shared several other posts, including a sweet birthday message. "happy birthday," she wrote. "glad u were born."
