How Rich Temuera Morrison Actually Is In Real Life

New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison has had a remarkable Hollywood career, climbing all the way to the top through the Star Wars franchise. He was first cast as Jango Fett in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and later was cast as Boba Fett in The Mandalorian.

Morrison first broke through in the 1994 film Once Were Warriors, according to his IMDb credits, and it was through this gig that he caught George Lucas' attention. Morrison spoke to The New York Times in December 2020 about this journey and said: "I give praise to George [Lucas] who made me Jango Fett in the first place. We filmed in Sydney, so he used quite a few actors from New Zealand and Australia."

He added, "It wasn't long after 'Once Were Warriors' that I met with the casting people of 'Star Wars,' and I feel that's the movie that launched me in Hollywood. It wasn't a big box-office movie here in America, but people in the industry saw it, and that opened a few more doors for me, that's for sure." It's definitely been a wild ride for Morrison, one that has amassed him a considerable net worth. Read on to find out just how much the actor is worth.

Temuera Morrison said he wanted to find out what made Boba Fett tick

Temuera Morrison spoke about being cast as Boba Fett in The Mandalorian and joked about the cyclical nature of being a celebrity throughout his life. "When we find Boba, he's well-worn, and he's been through a lot. He's a survivor, and he's weathered," Morrison told The New York Times in December 2020. "Now it was time to find out more about what makes Boba tick. Is he more than just a simple man, trying to make his way through the galaxy? Is he tired of all the fighting? Is he tired of all the killing?"

Morrison joked, "The one thing I can relate to is, I'm quite a mature man now and things always change. Sometimes you're in Hollywood, in all the magazines and newspapers. And sometimes you end up in the fish and chip shop in New Zealand, where all the old magazines and papers go. You're old news."

Well, with the success of The Mandalorian, Morrison isn't old news anymore and the publicity has come with some nice cash. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Morrison is worth $1.5 million. Sounds like playing Boba Fett isn't just a meaningful role for Morrison, but an enriching one too. He can get all the fish and chips he wants now!
