Inside John Travolta's Sweet Birthday Message From His Daughter Ella

Known for his iconic roles in Grease, Pulp Fiction, Hairspray, and more, John Travolta is as much of an entertainer as he is a good father. The actor had three children — Jett, Ella, and Benjamin — with late wife Kelly Preston, who tragically died from breast cancer in July 2020. The couple also went through an unimaginable loss when their eldest son Jett died in 2009 after suffering a seizure during a family vacation, People reported. Travolta called his son's death "the worst thing that's ever happened in [his life] in an interview with the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London in 2014 (via BBC). Preston, in a separate interview two years prior, via The Huffington Post, said that "it's unfathomable" to lose a child but told those who were grieving a loss that they "can get through it."

It seems like Travolta took his late wife's words to heart and has continued living a happy life with his children. The star celebrated his 67th birthday on Feb. 18, 2021, with Ella giving her father a sweet tribute on Instagram. Keep scrolling to read Ella's heartwarming note.

Ella Travolta calls her father 'the most incredible man'

"Happy Birthday to the most incredible man I have ever known," Ella Travolta captioned alongside a photo of herself, brother Benjamin, and her famous father, John Travolta, on Instagram. "Thank you for raising us, helping us and loving us and thank you for all of the good you do every day."

She concluded the sweet message by writing that "the world is so lucky to have you and so are we. I love you Daddy. I had the best time celebrating your birthday with you yesterday," with three red heart emojis for emphasis.

Travolta's relationship with his daughter has been well documented, with the two sharing a dance in August 2020 in honor of Kelly Preston who died at the age of 57. "My daughter @ella.travolta and I dancing in memory of momma," Travolta captioned the video of him dancing with Ella. "One of Kelly's favorite things, dancing with me."

Earlier this month, the father-daughter duo recreated his famous Grease dance when they starred in a Super Bowl ad for Scotts Miracle-Gro — which went viral. "Thank you all for making @ella.travolta and I number one on Yahoo today!" Travolta wrote on Instagram after their Super Bowl ad made headlines.

With how comfortable Ella is in the spotlight, it wouldn't be surprising if we saw her making more memories with her father on screen.
