Jessie J Reveals Her New Boyfriend After Splitting From Channing Tatum
It April 2018, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced that they had "lovingly chosen to separate as a couple" after almost nine years of marriage (via People). The exes promised to "always be loving dedicated parents to Everly," but it wasn't until January 2020 that they finally agreed on joint custody of their daughter, per People.
Amid the divorce drama, the Magic Mike actor managed to stir up some additional controversy and make headlines when it was reported in October 2018 that he was dating singer Jessie J. It wasn't so much that the 21 Jump Street star's fans didn't want him to find love again, but rather that his new flame had an uncanny resemblance to his ex. The comparisons were so rampant, in fact, that the "Bang Bang" singer actually made time to respond on Instagram in a since-deleted post, writing that she was "so disappointed and embarrassed that [her] name [was] even involved" in articles in which she was being "compared directly to another beautiful woman regarding [their] looks and people picking who they think is prettier."
Come December 2019, she and Tatum split, with a source telling People, "Channing and Jessie have different priorities and focuses that don't really align." A few weeks later they were back together, according to E! News, but eventually called it quits again in April 2020 as they simply couldn't make it work. The British songstress has since kept her love life under wraps, but we now know she has a new man in her life.

On March 1, 2021, Jessie J went Instagram official with her new man — dancer Max Pham Nguyen — after paparazzi snapped the pair having an "outdoor lunch date" in Los Angeles just the day before. The Daily Mail reported on the outing to Crossroads Kitchen, a vegan restaurant, calling Nguyen the singer's "male pal" and noting that they "put on a jovial display" while eating. Turns out, The Voice U.K. judge was so unimpressed with the secretly taken snaps that she decided to do something about it: upload her own.
Taking to Instagram, Jessie J shared a slew of images of herself with her new boyfriend, writing, "A story was posted today (Scroll to picture 7) The article was actually sweet. BUT... THE PICS?! Yoooooo!!!" she began, including a row of laugh-cry emojis. "Got me looking like an old man who owns a boat, basically Lord Farquards Dad growing out an old haircut," she quipped.
"Meanwhile @max__pham was REALLY trying my salad that I loaded onto my fork." Further explaining why she decided to share the 10-photo slideshow, she wrote: "Max and I thought you guys deserved some better picture options. Saving you hiding in cars and bushes," she joked, highlighting the fact that fans could enjoy a car option, silly option, park option, beach option, date night option, and an eating a snack option.
Jessie J concluded the hilarious announcement by noting, "Ps. He isn't my male pal."
