As the old saying goes, "Behind every successful man, there is a strong woman," and it appears actor and singer Taron Egerton is no exception to that adage.
Egerton took home the hardware at the 2020 Golden Globes ceremony, snagging the award for Best Actor in the Motion Picture Musical or Comedy category for his role as the iconic Elton John in Rocketman. But, perhaps his most cherished role to date is playing boyfriend to his significant other Emily Thomas. And likewise, no one appeared more proud than Thomas as she walked the red carpet with Egerton and eagerly applauded as he accepted his award at the 77th Golden Globes show.

Emily Thomas always worked in show biz
Make no mistake about it — while Emily Thomas is happy to be the supportive girlfriend to her famous boyfriend, Taron Egerton, she's pretty successful in her own right.
As reported by the Evening Standard, Thomas also works in show biz as an assistant director. Some of her biggest gigs to date include working behind the camera on famous films, such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Wonder Woman, and Justice League, per IMDb.
Reportedly, however, it was their careers that caused some friction in the relationship and even led to a brief hiatus for the couple. During a 2019 interview with Vogue, Egerton discussed how each of their professional endeavors made it hard to carve out time for one another. "Unless you're really vigilant, you can start to occupy separate worlds," he explained. He also recalled a moment during their separation in which he found a handwritten card Thomas gave to him. The sentiment moved him to tears and eventually the two found their way back to one another — something that Egerton said makes him "really proud."
