How Many Brothers And Sisters Does WandaVision's Elizabeth Olsen Have?

WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen is a familiar face to both Marvel Cinematic Universe fans and independent film cinephiles alike. Talk about a contrast!

While Olsen got her first screen credit in 1994, per IMDbfollowed by a single guest role in Full House the following year, Olsen began acting full time in 2011 with the release of a trio of critically acclaimed hits: Silent HousePeace, Love & Understanding, and Martha Marcy May Marlene. Olsen became a household name just a few years later in 2015 with her turn as the Scarlet Witch in blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron. Olsen has continued to have a presence in the indie world with films like Ingrid Goes West and TV series Sorry For Your Loss, but it's safe to say she will forever be known as bewitching Avenger Wanda Maximoff

Olsen's masterful role in Disney+'s WandaVision has only cemented her A-list status, yet Olsen isn't the only famous blonde in her family: she is the younger sister of 2000s icons Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who got their start on sitcom Full House. Some WandaVision fans weren't even aware of her connection to millennial royalty until now! However, Olsen herself has always been open about being related to the famed Olsen twins. Keep scrolling to find out what Olsen has said about her sisters, and what other siblings she has!

Elizabeth Olsen is one of six children

Elizabeth Olsen has transformed into a fan-favorite Marvel superhero seemingly overnight, but her family life has always been in the spotlight. Sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were America's twins for years, and Elizabeth was at first wary of entering the same industry as her older siblings.

Elizabeth told Grazia that she "wanted to do it alone" in Hollywood and earn her fame. "Nepotism is a thing, and I'm very aware of it," she admitted. In January 2021, Elizabeth described growing up with the Olsen twins as "insanity" to The SunShe even considered using her middle name, Chase, in lieu of Olsen when starting out in the film industry.

Yet Elizabeth learned that her sisters' time in the spotlight could teach her a lesson: "It has helped me navigate how I want to approach my career. I always had this need to prove myself to everyone around me that I work really hard," she stated.

Aside from Mary-Kate and Ashley, what other siblings does Elizabeth have? Older brother James Trent — paired with Elizabeth's name — is the title of the Olsen twins' clothing brand, Elizabeth & James. Per New York PostTrent works at Storm King Productions. In addition to her three siblings, Elizabeth also has two half-siblings: 25-year old actress Courtney Taylor Olsen, and 23-year old musician Jake Olsen, according to CosmopolitanThey're all one big happy family — sounds perfect for a WandaVision spin-off, don't you think?
