Who Is Dylan McDermott's Ex-Wife, Shiva Rose?
Actor Dylan McDermott is set to star alongside Christopher Meloni as he reprises his Law & Order role as Elliot Stabler in NBC's new spinoff series, Law & Order Organized Crime. According to the network, the show, which debuts on April 1, 2021, will follow Stabler as he "returns to the NYPD to battle organized crime after a devastating personal loss. However, the city and police department have changed dramatically in the decade he's been away, and he must adapt to a criminal justice system in the midst of its own moment of reckoning."
But like Meloni's character, McDermott has experienced some real-life heartache of his own. The actor previously married Shiva Rose in 1995 and the two welcomed daughters Collette and Charlotte together, but they sadly split up after 12 years of marriage in 2007, per People. According to TMZ, their split was made official in January 2009. Since then, McDermott went on to date actor Maggie Q, but after a four-year engagement, they went their separate ways in February 2019 (via People).

Shiva Rose is one accomplished gal
Despite their split, Shiva Rose and Dylan McDermott made a pretty talented couple. Rose began acting at the mere age of 15 after moving from Iran with her family at 10 years old until they eventually settled in Los Angeles. She went on to attend UCLA and later starred in several films including 2005's David & Layla, and her performance lead to her "Best Breakthrough Actress" award win, according to IMDb. But these days, Rose does less acting and more writing with her four books and her lifestyle brand The Local Rose dedicated to holistic and healthy living.
She started to conceive her brand after she was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition following the birth of her first daughter, she reveals on the company's website. "This diagnosis, and yearning for a healthy planet for my daughter, propelled me on a path as a naturalist and activist. The Local Rose was born out of a desire to celebrate a holistic, healthy, authentic lifestyle without sacrificing taste and glamour," she adds. Shedding some light on her lifestyle today, she writes, "My two daughters and I now live in the Santa Monica Mountains where we raise most of our own produce, nestled by a creek with our cat, rabbits, and chickens."
