Nikki Bella Has Something To Say To Her Ex John Cena

Wrestling fans and those who love a good celebrity romance will likely remember that Nikki Bella and John Cena were once an item. Seemingly happy as a couple and super-well suited for each other, they were a popular pair and even got engaged in the WWE ring in front of a cheering crowd. However, their admirers were surely shocked when, in April 2018, "just weeks before they were supposed to get married," the two broke things off, per Life & Style. While they briefly got back together, the duo, who spent six years in a relationship, permanently split that July.

While some may have been hoping for Nikki and Cena to find their way back to each other sometime down the road, the two both ended up finding love with other people. Nikki went on to get engaged and have a baby with Dancing with the Stars pro Artem Chigvintsev, while Cena (secretly) married Shay Shariatzadeh.

However, while Nikki and Cena apparently weren't meant to live happily ever after with each other, she still had something to say about her ex in the spring of 2021.

Nikki Bella revealed how John Cena affected her career

Nikki Bella enjoyed a milestone in 2021 when she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame alongside her twin sister and fellow wrestler, Brie Bella. During the sibling's acceptance speech which aired in April 2021 following the March 31, 2021, event, Nikki used the opportunity to mention her ex, John Cena, and reveal how he had impacted her career.

After Brie took a moment to thank other women wrestlers who "fought alongside" them and "helped revolutionize the women's division," according to Us Weekly, Nikki added a message of her own. "And to John," she said, "thank you for teaching me a lot about this business and truly helping me find my fearless side."

Cena's fans surely won't find it surprising that he offered Bella advice considering that seems to be a key aspect of who he is. The star — who has written two motivational booksBe a Work in Progress and Do Your Best Every Day to Do Your Best Every Day – loves to offer tidbits of inspiration on Twitter. Stuff along the lines of: "Celebrate the wins, embrace the losses, maintain a passion for what could be possible." And: "You will always have critics on our journey. Whether or not they turn into believers is up to you." Of course, he also had a tip for dealing with the A.M. blues, tweeting, "You can wake up on the wrong side of the bed, just don't stay there."

You may want to take his advice, it clearly worked for Nikki.
