This Famous Actor Broke Up With Carrie Underwood Via Text

Carrie Underwood certainly needs no introduction. The country music princess has carved out a fairytale career and personal life that has everyone cheering for the starlet, since she won season 4 of American Idol back in 2005; in addition to seven Grammy wins and more than 20 Country Music Awards, she got married to former Nashville Predators captain Mike Fisher and the couple welcomed two children — sons Isaiah Michael Fisher and Jacob Bryan Fisher — into the world. While Underwood is now happily married, she dated a few notable celebrities before finally settling down. Among past suitors are retired Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and former Bachelor star Travis Stork, as well as her college boyfriend Drake Clark, whom she dated prior to her American Idol win (via Parent Herald).

But Underwood has another famous ex, one who apparently ended their relationship in the least personal way possible: via text message.

Chace Crawford once broke up with Carrie Underwood via text

Before Carrie Underwood married husband Mike Fisher, she dated Gossip Girl heartthrob Chace Crawford. Crawford, Underwood revealed, was the man who shot her a text when their relationship had run its course.  "It was like 'peace out....' We both knew it didn't work and [have] no hard feelings whatsoever," she said, via Cosmopolitan. "I'm a suck-it-up-and-move-on kind of person," she elaborated. "Every day is a new day, and you'll never be able to find happiness if you don't move on."

Move on and find happiness are exactly what she did. Underwood and Fisher met backstage after one of her concerts at the urging of the country singer's bassist, Mark Childers, according to Country Living. Ahead of the blind date, the singer was apprehensive about starting a long-distance relationship, but decided a meet-and-greet couldn't hurt. The results were "Hot, hot, hot," according to the text message Underwood sent Childers after she met her future husband. She and Fisher went on to make their romance official in January of 2010.

As for Crawford, he too has moved on, working on popular films like What To Expect When You're Expecting and starring in The Boys as supporting character The Deep.
